I do think this product is quality made. To be fair, I did buy this when I was sick (shame on me, but it was on sale), so I didn't read the description carefully enough. I do not have a flat nosed dog, so maybe it would slow them down. It definitely will not slow down my 55 pound "regular nose" type dog. The squares are about 1 x 1 but only 1/2 inch in depth and holds about one layer of kibble. It would definitely slow down a dog who eats wet food, but we use kibble. I might try to use this as a treat tray with peanut butter, especially since I can put it into the dishwasher. It is about 1 inch height tall. Since I like the quality, I will try ordering one of the deeper dishes to slow down my gobbler. We do have one dish that slows him down, but we want to give him a variety for his morning meal. We slow him down other ways at dinner.
Pretty simple alternative to our other puzzle feeder, but Sadie likes it and it slows her down, which is the goal!
Although we were hopeful this bowl slowed down Oliver’s gobbling, it seemed to have just the reverse affect. He ate so fast he vomited afterward. The search continues
I bought this for my puppy. Its perfect for him. Keeps him from chocking while slowing him down on eating
