Entertaining Toy for all!
Our dog absolutely loves this toy! It makes some great sounds and is pretty durable. He is a large dog and the toy is large so he loves carrying it around with him and it's big enough that he uses it as a pillow or will cuddle with it in his bed. We used to have a pet pig and the noises it makes actually sounds like her. He hasn't chewed on it much, so I can't speak to its durability for that.
Fun for one day
My dog immediately fell in love with with hedgehog because of the low honk squeaker that he has inside. Unfortunately that squeaker lasted less than two days. Hedgehog is still completely intact so it is very sad that a higher quality squeaker is not used in this toy. I accept toys breaking because they are opened up, but come on, they should last a good time for dogs that do not destroy them.
Loved shortly
My pup loved, loved her he'd get! Sadly though, she quickly tore it apart. I tried taping it up with duct tape but that was futile. I had to slip Hedgey to the trash. My pup looked for her for days.
Grunt so good
My dog loves to play and wrestle with this guy. Perfect size for my 50# lab/pit. The grunting squeeker was a dog delighter but he killed the grunt squeeker within one day so not so invincible. High pitch squeeker ok so far but the grunt was the fun one. Would be a 5 if that grunt sqqueeker didnt die so soon
Twenty minutes
My Boston Terrier loved it grabbed it out of the box and ran Sadly 20 minutes later he had two holes in it and stuffing coming out When will I learn He loves plushies but they just dont work for a chewing dog like him
Favorite, according to dog
I hope they become back in stock. My current dog is not a destroyer of most toys , but i want a backup. The one we still have is intact, but it reeks because it got soaked outside by irrigation. My dog seems to love it because it has a very low pitch grunt and a very high pitch squeaker in one foot. He seems to enjoy squeaking both squeakers in quick succession, or to squeak them almost at the same size. I got him a larger size and sometimes he uses it as a pillow . He has mostly forgotten every squeaky plush i have given him, before or after . This is this the only one he consistently brings inside and outside to play with over and over again. He also loves very high pitch squeaky balls and plushes , but this seems to be the most interesting plush to him.
A Perfectly Kickable and Durable Toy
The Outward Hound hedgehog (largest size available) is unquestionably our dog's favorite. We've bought several because, after all, it's a dog toy and they have a limited lifespan. But given how frequently he plays with it we have been impressed by its longevity. We'll usually get at least 6 months out of each. The other thing it's perfect for is kicking like a soccer ball. Hedgehog Ball is the official sport of our household, and I encourage you to form a league of your own.
my dog has like 14 of these
For about 1-2 years, this was my dog's absolute favorite toy. He's not a shredder, so I don't have to worry about him dissecting the larger versions of this toy, however everyone I know who has had a shredder has had this toy destroyed within a day. My dog loves to toss this in the air to himself, and then happily mouth it and lay in it for a while. The grunting and squeakers are nice that they offer variety of noises to entice him to play. I toss them into the washer and dryer to clean when they get crunchy with his spit, and then soften right back up and the grunter and squeakers still work fine. They do get a little deflated over time due to the stuffing, but my dog doesn't seem to care
Didn't Last
Cute toy and just the right size for my 15lb dog but the squeaker lasted a day and the rest of the body caved in. She loved it for a day!
Best Lab Toy!
We have three Labradors, and 9 hedgehogs. They love these toys. Large hedgehogs are the perfect size for our girls, and they love playing with them. Fortunately, they last a very long time too.
