I like interactive toys that require the dog to think about the solution. It is possible to hide the squirrels inside making the dog search for them or do they all stick out?

The squirrels can recede into the toy.
How many openings does each trunk have? Thanks!

The small, medium and large toys have two holes. The XL toy has four holes.
Can you purchase replacement squirrels?

My mini Aussie is really hard on his toys. He destroys nearly every toy we’ve tried. But he’s quite active and I think he’d love this “game.” Any feedback on how it has held up with dogs who are pretty rough on their toys?

Usually, if my dog doesn't like a toy, I don't give it a bad review because different dogs like different toys. But I do think there is a design flaw in this one. Previously, I had bought Maddie the "Garbage can full of racoons" puzzle toy and it is the best toy she's ever had. She would pull out those racoons over and over again. She didn't chew up the toy because it actually gave her something to do other than chew on it. So I thought she'd go crazy over this big log of squirrels! But the squirrels come out too easily. She just gives it a shake and squirrels go flying and then she wants to chew off the bottom of the log which has some sort of stiffening in it so that it will stand up.

torn to shreds
My dog had the tree portion of this ripped to nothing in minutes. However, the squirrels are great for hide and seek around the house. If your dog is a bit intense (mine is) this will not provide much resistance.

Favorite toy, but.
My puppy loves this toy, but has twice got his head stuck in it. While funny to watch, there is the potential for suffocation, so I only let him play with it under supervision.

Loved at first but quality very poor
Bought this a second time because the first one lasted more than a year and was great. This one was horrible quality, and dog tore it apart in 20 minutes. Quality much worse than the original. Would not buy againp

chipmunks?
Fantastic toy. Would highly recommend. My only issue is that I’m not confident that these are squirrels. Based on the coloring, I feel that they are chipmunks. However, the tail to body ration would make one to think squirrel which is fair as that is what the toy is called. I would love to hear other opinions on this. Regardless of my feeling of squirrel vs chipmunk, it’s a great toy

Cheaply made
I got this for my 1 1/2 year old lab. In less then an hour he had a hole in the tree trunk and ripped out the flimsy cardboard. I don't recommend for a large breed dog as was advertised. Waste of money.

Girls love it
My great Dane sisters are having a blast sticking their snoots in the tree "holes" to retrieve the squeaky squirrels..
Not sure how long it will last, but it's adorable

My GSD Mix Lovez It
Nice item, with all the squirrels in the trunk its a nice muse to keep her occupied . Sometimes i hide a dog biscuit in there and she digs it out. I normally use i when we leave the home aa a diversion for her attention . You have to remember to gather the little squirrels back up so they are not spread all over the house and keep them together but thats no problem

I should have bought the bigger squirrel toy
At first, my dog wasn't sure what she was looking at and also she was distracted by the kitties' toys, but once the squirrels squeaked, she played and threw the squirrels around the floor, chasing after them.
