Don't Waste Your Money!
Just bought this for my 16-week Yorkie and within a couple of days, she has torn some of the squirrels up. The fur on the squirrels comes off very easily making a big mess. No dog toy should be this easy to tear up. Thought it would be a great puzzle toy for her, but it's a waste of money. I'll stick to the Kong toys from now on. They at least last a lot longer. This was a waste of money. Would never recommend this toy to anyone!
Great Dog Toy
Our 3 year old rescue, Copper, loves the Hide a Squirrel Dog Toy! Only problem is the stump is already torn up but the squirrels are very sturdy and in tack. Copper took care of not being able to get the Stumpies out fast enough! We still manage to hide the squirrels in the stump but getting more difficult since the stump has damage. By the way, we call the squirrels "Stumpies" so not to confuse Copper with the real squirrels she dislikes so much and cause her so much grief because she can't climb trees but she can jump about five feet high. We were upstairs one day with Copper and started talking about the Stumpies and she ran downstairs got one and brought it to us. What a joy!!!
Great Fun, Not Super Durable
My 12-week-old puppy loves this toy, but made quick work of the "stump," which had some messy seams and exposed thread when we got it (very attractive to the pup). She ripped it apart in less than a day. It's still usable, and the squirrels are great fun! (Hilarious how they go flying around the room when she shakes the stump.) But yeah--not super durable. Maybe sell replacement stumps too?
Fun interactive toy
My dog loves this toy. She likes to maul it around until all the squirrels come flying out of the tree trunk. Only issue is that the pseudo fur fabric on the tree trunk falls out.
My dog is not an aggressive chewer, he loved pulling them out and chewing them but many of them didn’t last a week. He also destroyed the tree the first day. I was disappointed.
Doggo LOVES his squirrel log!
My 4-year-old lab-pit mix LOVES LOVES LOVES his squirrel log!! He destroys them, but he destroys every plush toy we've ever given him! He'll get himself winded trying to uncover the squirrels tucked in this log, running to and from each element, including the log itself! We were gifted one by some gracious neighbors, and after a few years, we had to buy another one, but I'll buy it again! My dog loves these things!!!
This has been the best toy for my 11 yr old French bulldog Boston mix dog. She has lost some mobility so This toy allows her to sit yet still be active and use her brain. Her face lights up when she sees me stuffing it! I’m ordering it again.
10 month old cavapoo Loves this
Immediately grabbed and ran with it. Flinging squirrels and loving every second. Her favorite part is the bottom of the stump..?? Also, I have been hiding her old toys in the stump and that is big winner too. She finally tuckered herself out....
My dog really likes this toy, however, he likes the stump more than the little squirrels. He likes to flip out all of the squirrels and then run around with the stump. So stumpy is already showing some signs of wear, maybe they should make a replacement stump that you can buy like they have the replacement squirrels?
This toy arrived with a hole in the stitching of the tree part and stuffing coming out. The thread in other areas of the stitching is also loose. Seems like a good idea for a toy but needs better quality checks I guess.
