I had a different slow feeder that didn't really slow my dog down. I was a bit skeptical to try this one because the crevices are a bit small. They're just small enough to make him work for it; this one cut his meal time from 1-2 minutes to around 6 or 7. He got a bit frustrated the first time and after I had a different slow feeder that didn't really slow my dog down. I was a bit skeptical to try this one because the crevices are a bit small. He got a bit frustrated the first time and after a while flipped it (for a single piece of kibble). After that first time, though, he hasn't done it. The only thing is, the bowl is supposed to be a non-skid, but it does move around a bit. Also, I feed my dog only 1/2 a cup of a larger sized kibble and that seems to fill the entire bowl even though it says it should hold 2 cups. *My dog is a 40 pound Flat Coated Retriever mix in case y'all need a sizing estimate. … more

Most Helpful Critical Review
Read All 116 Critical ReviewsDoes NOT hold two cups...

Product overall is okay... I ordered a bowl that should fit two cups and it hardly holds a single cup. If you’re looking for a bowl to hold two cups you might want to order the next size up that holds four cups.

Slow, slow!
By Carol on Apr 16, 2021
Rusty eats so fast you barely turn around and he’s finished. This dish has slowed him. He’s still faster than the other two dogs but definitely slower.

Great bowl! Really slowed down my dogs eating. She can't gulp her food anymore.

Perfect maze bowl

This maze bowl is everything we hoped it would be. It totally slows down the eating process and makes mealtime a fun game for my puppy.

Don't gulp your food
By Lucas on Apr 8, 2021
My puppy used to inhale his meals and then burp excessively due to his bad table manners. This bowl forces him to take it slow and dine like a gentleman. He enjoys his meals much more now that he can actually eat slow enough to taste it.

Love these slow feeder bowls
By 3dogs on Apr 3, 2021
I have several feeders of this brand; this design seems to be the best at slowing down my crew. I especially like that you can put feed in the center part and it's not very challenging. Then, the concentric circles become more difficult (narrower) the further away from center they are. So, kind of customizable according to how fast or slow your dog eats from it. I have lots of interactive food dispensers, but this is my go-to for their dinners, where I don't feel like wrestling with loading the other types. This is a great product!

All good things come to an end

Loved the slow feeder unfortunately after 3 days my boyfriend tripped over it and it broke. It was cute but ultimately not super durable like I was hoping.

Good but small.
By Shelle on Mar 27, 2021
Great invention. Really works to slow down and doesn’t slide around. But it really doesn’t hold 2 cups. I fill it with 1.5 every feeding time and it’s difficult. Either get the bigger one or fill it carefully.

So pleased with this product. It’s durable, easily washable and slows eating just enough.
