While this may be suitable for pets 10 lbs or under, it did not work for our 14 lb CKCS. There is a waist band and shoulder straps but an additional reinforcement strap is needed to keep the shoulder straps from constantly slipping off. Unable to use.
My pup outgrew the side sling I was gifted. I thought this would be the next step up, however it was uncomfortable for me to wear. I think it may be better suited for putting on and staying on as opposed to on and off getting in and out of the car to run weekend errands
We bought this bag to carry our 2-month-old mini dachshund puppy, and it worked well...until he had a growth spurt! We were only able to use it a handful of times because he got too long and the bag wasn't supportive enough for his spine. When we used it, it was really handy except it did not fit my husband who is 6' tall -- the straps didn't go all the way around even when extended. Great product to carry a tiny dog front and center (we got all the oohs and aahs)...but not for longer dogs or taller Dads.
I bought a Medium one for my cat Rookie who weights 11 lbs. I like the fact that it is open so my cat checks out the surroundings more. It is better than the sling bag I had. However there is no pocket so you need a side small additional bag to carry snacks, water, etc. and it is not comfortable enough for long hikes where I keep using my backpack.
My 13 year old dog Bailey was diagnosed with liver cancer earlier this year. Needed a carrier so I could take him along for running errands, walks and even hiking. He is about 14lbs. Fits perfectly and usually sleeps inside.
