Simple beginner kit, easy to use

By LouM on Sep 3, 2018

This is a simple kit, easy to set up. The size is appropriate for small to mid-size dogs. The poles and bases are very lightweight, easy to knock over though. My dog picked up the tunnel command in about five minutes. We are still working on the jump. He prefers to go around it to get his treat. I had This is a simple kit, easy to set up. We are still working on the jump. He prefers to go around it to get his treat. I had to set it low enough that he couldn't just sneak under it, his second favorite way of navigating it. Not going to try the slalom until he has mastered both tunnel and jump. … more

    Cheaply made

By baefl on Sep 16, 2018

I just can’t give this a good rating. Some of the polls are warped. They are hollow and flimsy. The half circle base pieces, you push the hollow poles in them but they don’t stand up very well. There is no weight to the bases, so they are not sturdy. Cute idea but not made well. Not for medium to I just can’t give this a good rating. Some of the polls are warped. They are hollow and flimsy. I wanted something simple to play with in the house on a rainy day. I have an 80lb Estrela Mountain Dog puppy who couldn't help but give me the, "really mom?" eyes when I set up this course. I love how it stores perfectly in the tote bag, the tunnel can be a bit of a pain to fold down and place back in the bag, but everything else is fine. The tunnel is a good size, like that it is square so it doesn't roll all over the place. The weave poles are a fair height, although very light if your dog hits them, they will fall over. The jump is about as basic and finicky as they come. It's hard to adjust the height for the bar with the prongs that hold the bar, and it is so very small of a jump distance I wanted something simple to play with in the house on a rainy day. But for a silly, fun rainy day in, it works just fine to get some practice and play in. … more

The set is neat but the execution leaves much to be desired. The holders for the poles to create a weave course are not drilled through properly so the poles don't stand. I'll have to get a drill to fix the holes.

Its not very strong. The poles and base are kinda warped. The dogs are afraid of the poles but have gotten them to go thru the tunnel.OK.

  • Flimsy

The blue footings and yellow poles are made of low-quality plastic. The footings are warped and do not sit flush. The poles are crooked. Nonetheless, I did assemble the hurdle only to find that it is a bit narrow for my 45-pound dog. The narrowness could have been acceptable if the hurdle was sturdy enough for a dog, but it isn't; one of my cats knocked into the hurdle and it came apart.

  • The bases for the rods are very flimsy and warp easily

Probably as good as it can be for the price, yes. But the round blue bases you stick all the rods in are not flat on the bottom, probably because they are very thin, so they don't stay put at all.

Flimsy...the poles fall over with the slightest touch. I'm only keeping it, because my dog really likes to run like a crazy banshee through the tunnel.
