Live Insects and Temperature: Extreme weather conditions are the #1 cause of shipments dying in transit. Temperatures below 20F and above 95F can be deadly, even with our carefully developed shipping standards. Please take a look at the temperature forecasts for your shipping destination for the delivery date range before placing an order. If temperatures at the shipping destination are out of this range, there is a significant chance your order may not arrive live. Please keep in mind that our insects are a natural product. Some amount of variation is normal and expected. All sizes are sold as an average and there will always be some that are larger or smaller than the average in an order.
Live Banded Crickets.
Crickets will happily eat a range of fresh fruits and vegetables if you choose to supplement their diet. We still suggest providing dried feed in addition to any fresh vegetables. Too much moisture can cause wet frass, which can lead to excess moisture and bacteria in your rearing habitat. If you choose to add fresh fruits and vegetables, replace the veggies regularly and watch carefully for signs of mold and rot. Do not feed crickets products that contain mangos.
Ordered 1000 adults, box arrived today, --First of all they were packed into a too small regular cardboard box with no air holes. --Rotten Moldy potatoes we supplied for food... --There were other unknown beetles/bugs... -- 95% of them were DEAD! Only upside is refund was done quick. Avoid at all costs!
Really find it. Hard to believe there's 500 crickets. There might have been originally, but considering the box is not sealed to the point that they can't escape and transit, I'm going to say there is a lot less than that between probably losing half of them during transit and another half dead. I feel like I weigh overpaid and should have just got them at the local pet shop
All of the crickets arrived dead. Waste of money and I don't have time to wait for another shipment now.
I have received these crickets multiple times and always have a problem with how many they send. It is noticeably less than than the amount I order, which is even more frustrating when half the shipment dies.
Ordered 250 all were alive upon arrival bigger than expected so my baby beardie couldn’t have them but fast delivery and I plan on ordering smaller next time……also to anyone complaining about the box and not being able to transfer them to a container I’ll say cut the tape open and dump the box in a trash bag, put your hand in and shake them all off the egg crates and then transfer them from the bag into the container…….worked well for me and only one cricket got loose because he was still hidden in the box somewhere out of sight lol
The crickets are fine. Good percentage of them alive, and good size; however, the box they come in is not easy to get them out. I need to transfer them to a plastic cage for storing until it's time to feed our dragon, and it is impossible to get them out! The box needs a small hole of some kind that you can easily dump the crickets out of into the other container. Once the box is opened there are crickets flying everywhere!
I received my crickets today after a delayed delivery, and all of them are dead. I am highly disappointed.
I'm vary disappointed, there dead and smell horrible like they have been dead a few days. I'd like to send them back.
I have a weekly order of around 500 crickets set to be delivered to my house. First, I'm pretty sure I'm maybe receiving half that number if I'm lucky. Second, today when they were delivered my son waited until the delivery person walked away and then grabbed the box so they wouldn't sit in the cold too long. When we went to place them in their bin there was maybe 10 that were alive. These are not being transported in a way that facilitates keeping them alive long enough to reach their destination.
All dead both times. I wanted it to work . I really did. None of them were alive. I tried this twice.
