Chinchilla
I must say this product came exactly description. Our chinchilla (Iris) really loves this hideaway, che sleeps in there and also chews on it, this is our second one and she tears up the roof first this works on the rest of it. It is a cool product where ske can sleep and eat it. I would most definitely recommend this.
Best value for your money
We have two mini rex rabbits. I am a first time rabbit owner for about a month now. We have bought our rabbits all kinds of oxbow treats and toys. These huts are the best value for your money. The other sizes were sold out when I ordered, so I started with the small hut. I have ordered 6 of these! Each hut lasts two rabbits about 4-5 days and longer if you take it away and then give it back. I have to warn you that these make a terrible mess, so put is in a shallow box or container and the rabbits make a terrible gnawing sound when chewing these. However, it is better then them chewing my tables. Also, my rabbits have yet to eat any of the straw roofs. They only eat the walls. The small is too small for mini rex rabbits to go in, but I doubt they would even go in the hut if they could. They just want to devour it. They actually flip the hut over to get easier access to the walls. Compared to the oxbow lollipops and waffles, this is the best value.
The BEST rabbit chew
This is by far my buns favorite toy. They chew the hut constantly and I've gone thru several. Keeps them from chewing items they shouldn't in the house!
My rabbits love their Oxbow Timothy Hut!
I have a bonded pair of rabbits and they are now on their second Timothy Hut. It is sturdy and clearly fun and delicious for them. They chew on it every day (and night) and seem never to tire of it as they have with other toys and chews. Additionally, t is cost effective because it lasts a long time even with the constant chewing. The first large hut that we got lasted more than a month. I love this product and plan to keep one available for my rabbits at all times! Thanks to Oxbow for another fun and healthy diversion for my rabbits!
LIFESAVER for my rabbit
First, my rabbit is free to roam 24/7 and not in a cage. This hut is a god send for her desire and need to chew. This item is odorless and does NOT mold when not sitting on bedding. It sits on a towel on my floor and my rabbit goes through one medium size about every 3-4 weeks. This and branches from the willow tree in my yard have been lifesavers for natural teeth grinding. SHE LOVES this product.
Won’t be buying it again :(
I was very excited for this little house, specially since it was eatable and all, my Guinea pigs really liked it as they love their hiding spaces but unfortunately it started to get moldy and had to toss it away as I don’t think it’s healthy to keep it in their cage. I’m disappointed because it was a little expensive and I had to toss it soon after
Super sturdy except the roof
I hope they make more shapes out of this substance. The roof is pretty flimsy and was pushed in when I unpacked it but I was able to get it to look right again until my cat jumped on it. It survived and was able to be put back to what it looked like in the picture again. I was worried it might smell but it seems odorless. Very sturdy!
