Bought this for my 6 month old syrian hamster. Laid it down in his enclosure at first to see how he'd like it. He got to chewing on it right away. I now have it hanging up from the top of his enclosure. I will note that mine came in with a piece cracked off from the star. I do not believe that the missing piece on mine will pose any risk to my hamster, but if you buy one (or any wooden chew toy in general) its a good idea to inspect it before putting it in your pet's enclosure just incase theres any similar (or more significant) damage that may pose a risk to your pet. If mine was cracked then it will probably happen to others too, but at worst you're out of less than $3.

I bought this for my two gerbil boys but they have barely nibbled it over the past several weeks (they have other wooden things to chew on so maybe that’s why?). I’m not giving it a bad review, though, because it’s a nice size and color for an Oxbow toy (usually the small toys are too expensive for their size). It does add nice color to their enclosure at least. I do think bunnies would make more use of it. I have 2 bunnies so I might buy another for them (I don’t want to cross-contaminate so I won’t use the one my gerbils have likely peed on).

My bunny loved this till it was no more! He started with destroying the rope first then slowly chewed the wooden pieces.

Left this in my ham's cage for 2 months and she never touched it. I moved it around, put food on it, dangled it, set it out, etc. Nothing. She could be picky though. But she likes a lot of other stuff so who knows!

It fell quickly as bunny chewed through the hanging cord, but bunny is still chewing on it.

She loves it! Great for the price and she hasn't broken it yet witch she usually does right away she will bite the top and the whole thing comes down lol

I bought two for my two Sryian hamsters. Both did not touch these. I took the blocks off the rope and nope. I tried it with my winter white hamster and nope. But does add nice color to their cages. But every hamster is different and I would recommend trying these cause you never know. I will be keeping mine.

My bunny only played with it 2 or 3 times for a total of 10 seconds or less, but interesting design. Not sure how durable it is, because my bunny didn't play with it enough.

Used to replace toy on Oxbow cube. End was tapered to make replacement easy and my guinea pigs ran right over and started playing with it. Great purchase to replace original strings when they are destroyed. Would buy again.

Our guinea pig loves this toy. It's hanging in his cage and he plays with it a lot, he loves chewing on it.
