Oxbow is a great company. Decided to try this toy out as a gift to my sister's 2 newly adopted guinea pigs. When offered, both pigs briefly sniffed it then left it alone. So not welcomed as a toy. WIll try re-introducing a few weeks later?
I only buy oxbow products but this is one a no. My bunny loves the vine cube but that was sold out so I got this. It looks like they spray painted it black. Tag says all natural materials but I just don't trust it... will donate this one.
My girl is somewhat interested in the curly vine ball. She'll push it around if it's in her way, but doesn't go out of her way to chew on or play with it.
I thought this is such a great purchase! But when it got to my house it looked soooo burnt! DO NOT BUY!!!! I wasted my money!
My bunnies love this Vine Ball! they throw it around cage and love chewing it up. It has lasted now two weeks.
I bought this for my guinea pig's thinking a "small" ball was, well, small. What arrived was a giant vine ball roughly the same size as my actual guinea pigs. I figured no one would play with it during floor time, but it actually is getting rolled around a bit more then expected and it is getting chewed on a good bit too. So while HUGE, it is actually a hit with my crew so we will likely buy more down the road.
Super well-made and had lots of interesting textures on it for my bunny to discover. He loves tossing this thing in the air (even though it’s large!) and gnawing on it. He especially likes when I hold it steady for him so he can really gnaw on it without it moving and he can dig his paws on it. A heads up though, it IS messy!
I bought one other different ball and was letting my bunny pick and as soon as I pulled them out she bolted to this one and I couldn’t even get her to look at the other! I highly recommend for rabbits
My two bunny boys absolutely love this vine ball, so I got 4 of them. It's sturdy, took a couple days for them to demolish verses a couple of hours, and there's a fun little ball on the inside that shakes around while you play. Very satisfied. Will definitely be getting more.
Not sure why but our guinea pigs and rabbit showed no interest in this treat. Normally they will devour something like this but I left them in each one's cage for over a week and ended up throwing all 3 out.
