I have 5 adult guineas and 4 pups (3 mos). I just bought the 25 lb version of this brand. Should I still buy a small bag of young pup food until the pups officially hit 6 mos? Will they still have proper nutrition for overall development.

Adult Guinea Pigs have different nutritional needs than juveniles. They still need a diet high in fiber to keep their digestive systems working properly and Vitamin C, but they need lower levels of calcium, protein and calories than growing Guineas require. This recipe is specifically designed to meet the particular nutritional needs of Guinea Pigs over six months.

There will be approximately 4 cups of food per pound. The 5 pound bag will have close to 20 cups, the 10 pound bag close to 40 cups and the 25 pound bag close to 100 cups.
