Rats weren't interested in it
By ratlover on Feb 15, 2021
There was nothing wrong with the product, but none of my 4 rats were interested in it at all and I ended up tossing it. Just FYI.

Excellent product, shipped quickly; great price!
By Dubliners099 on Oct 22, 2020
I've purchased a lot of products from Chewy before, but this is the first time I purchased Oxbow Garden Select Rat Food from them. Price was much better than any other vendor and no shipping costs if you reach a minimum. I originally purchased a small bag of these "rat blocks" at my local pet store to supplement my gerbils' diet and was pleased that they seemed to like them. But with that in mind, I won't be buying from the local pet store again. Small bags at a high price? Not for me. I appreciate that Chewy offers so many different pet foods and feel as if I wasn't forced into a limited number of choices at my local pet store -- and I get a much better price. Thanks Chewy!

rats won’t eat it
By Cheryl10 on Sep 9, 2020
I loved that this product was non-GMO, as I’ve read studies about how they can cause tumor growth. However, my rats won’t eat it. I have to go back to my old food. I’m disappointed and was really hoping they would like this.

The best I've found
By Oatmealwipes on Jul 12, 2020
I've done a lot of researching the best rat food, and this stuff has the best ingredients. My rats were on Mazuri when I got them and it has a lot of corn and alfalfa meal, which is not the best for them! It's hard to find rat pellets without these ingredients. Also, the Mazuri food was very crumbly and Oxbow doesn't leave a big mess.

Vet recommended and you can smell the freshness!
By misty81unicorn on Aug 2, 2020
My rats loved this food the moment I switched them to it! This was recommended by their vet and told me that if they get sick while on this food, the company will cover their vet care after running a stool test! Worth the money for that!

Oxbow Rat Food
By Heather on Jun 9, 2020
My babies LOVE this food! What I love is that it is healthy for them. I tried other rat foods and when I switched to this one I saw the difference in their behavior immediately! They had more energy, interacted with each other more. Their coats were shinier and softer. An A+ food in my opinion (and my rats’ opinions)

Not a Big Hit!
By Elizabeth on Jun 20, 2020
Our two male rats will not touch these, other than to throw them around and make a big mess. The quality is good, so I'll go with 3 stars. Luckily, we have plenty of chickens, goats and potbelly pigs who think they're the bomb, so they haven't completely gone to waste...

My rats love this!
By Kellyjacoby65 on Nov 14, 2019
I thought I would give my rats some options and purchase this food along with the other Oxbow Adult Rat food. They were so excited when I gave this to them. They were hiding it all over their cage!

Best for rats and mice
By meganm620 on Aug 30, 2019
Oxbow is the best brand for small animal food and this food specifically is the best they offer. The regular food "essentials" has corn and other things that isn't 100% good for rats or mice as a staple in their diet. Corn as a snack is okay. This however is mainly oats and veggies, which is great for these critters as a staple diet. My mice love this food and are gaining healthy weight, getting much nicer coats, and keeping their teeth filed down with this food. Be sure to supplement with fresh veggies and greens every other day and give fruit and nuts as treats.

My rats don't eat it
By Bunny on Oct 31, 2019
Well, I used to buy Oxbow for my 2 rats when they were babies, but switched to Kaytee since it was inexpensive. I bought this so that they could try it and maybe get healthier, but they haven't even nibbled on them.
