fun for rabbits, but watch out for wires
By mindz on Feb 7, 2021
I have been hiding lettuce pieces, pellets and other goodies in this mat and it is doing a good job of distracting my mischievous rabbits from gnawing on furniture legs. However, I was startled to see one of them determinedly pulling a wire out of it - he had it mostly out. I think this was threaded around the base to hold it together. I also wish it had a more closely woven base - it didn't take them long to discover they just need to push it aside to get to the pellets that fall through. Still, I would get it again - but I think it should be use only when they are supervised because of the wire.

Fun for Feeding
By Maeghan on Jan 27, 2021
I have 2 bonded pairs and I got each pair a small hide & seek mat for Christmas. I use these to feed them now and have ditched their bowls. I mix pellets with herbs and sprinkle them in. I love watching them forage in this to eat. I take the mats away once the food is gone to prolong their use as they do nibble on the mats too. They love these so much I'm buying more for when the first ones fall apart. The bottom is open (it's a woven grid) and some bits do fall thru. Both pairs have figured out that they can move the mat out of the way to get to all of those bits. It's so important for me to find ways to engage them mentally and provide enrichment. great as a litter “box”
By jav2637 on Jan 25, 2021
Maybe not ideal, but my bunnies love to use it as a litter pad. I put a couple potty pads underneath to soak up the pee. I’m going to try to hose it off and see how long it will last. Just to clarify, I do have two other litter boxes that they use as well, but they prefer to pee on this pad lol

Yummy activity mat
By Waarmwaterdiver on Jan 5, 2021
Love this mat for my bunnies. I have a very very active young rabbit that needs lots of mental stimulation to keep him out of trouble. I sprinkle his favorite pellets over this mat and he and his bun-wife get to sniff out the treats. My only complaint is that it falls apart pretty quick so can be quite messy. Otherwise, a great toy for bunnies or other small animals like that like to forage.

Much bigger than thought
By Bunnymom on Jan 15, 2021
This mat is large and gives bunny a challenge if you make a game of it and tuck some treats down inside it. I misunderstood description and thought it had treats built into it already. You have to occasionally shake out the bunny droppings that they leave by sitting on it.

Bigger than expected
By LauraMA on Nov 12, 2020
This mat is bigger than I expected even though I looked at the measurements ahead of time. That’s a good thing. More area to hide treats. That being said it’s very deep and my bunny has trouble foraging through it even though he’s a big bunny (about 7-8lbs). I usually sprinkle either an herb blend or his pellets on it and it keeps him busy for a while but eventually the herbs and especially the pellets fall through and he has a hard time getting to them. He does chew on the mat a little. So overall I like this mat it’s just not the 5 star experience I was hoping for for my bunny.

My bun loves foraging for her favorite snacks and treats. I bought the large size. I definitely recommend this product! Will purchase again.

Great forage mat
By BunMum on Dec 31, 2020
Great forage mat. Does not work as well for pellets as they tend to fall right to the bottom and within a day our bun learned to pick up the mat and move it to get the pellets. Works great for treats of all sizes, keeps our bun stimulated.

Too Tall & Coarse Like a Stiff Broom
By 4Jesus on Oct 24, 2020
I thought this item would be like a dense grass mat and my bunny would enjoy hopping up, chewing & pulling the hay "grass" on this mat. The hay is so tall & coarse and woven so loosely that she does not want anything to do with it. It has the texture of a stiff broom. It is not woven tightly enough for her to hop up on it and it is too tall for her to enjoy chewing and pulling it apart. Really disappointed.

Great for rabbits who eat very quickly
By Ruth on Dec 12, 2020
We got this for our rabbit who is pretty aggressive about food. She eats her dry pellets very quickly. We sprinkle her pellets onto this mat and then she searches for them. It’s pretty great.
