Do you recommend keeping the bag open to keep the hay dry?

Hay should be stored in a cool, dry place with good air circulation (don't close it tightly in a plastic bag - a brown paper bag or pillow case works well).
Is this 1st, 2nd or 3rd cutting?

Oxbow will harvest the hay prior to it reaching its maturity stage so it's neither 1st or 2nd Cut.
Is a 90 oz a lot? How big is it?

A 20 ounce bag contains approximately 1.3 pounds, a 40 ounce bag contains approximately 2.5 pounds, and a 90 ounce bag contains approximately 6 pounds.
how long with a 90 ounce bag last a 4lb dwarf rabbit. my holland lop maybe eats close to 24oz a month if that and I wanna make sure I stock up so I'll only have to do auto ship every 5 months.

The longevity of the bag depends on your rabbit's daily eating habits. As most rabbit owners allow their rabbits to have unlimited access to hay the longevity of the bag can vary.

Guinea pig approved

I rescued three guinea pigs over 4yrs ago , that were fed pellets rarely , but was fed iceberg lettuce and cat food yes cat food , I rescued them and it took about 3 months for them to eat timothy but once they started eating they could not get enough . I only have one left out of the three which is Rosie & she loves this brand & mix .

Best Hay for my rabbit

Oxbow has been the best hay option for my rabbit, and now that he is getting a little older I definitely want to make sure I give him the best quality hay that he will enjoy.

So much crumbs/dust

Normally I buy this hay for my piggies and it’s better quality than this. This time it just seems like there’s so much dust throughout the entire bag. The quality could be better, and I’ve been buying chewy products for a while now. Just disappointed I guess.

Quite Disappointed

This was once my go-to hay because it wasn’t full of hay dust but now…I don’t know…it is so choppy looking and doesn’t have nearly as many hay flowers in it…not sure if we will continue with this product. Toodles doesn’t seem to like it as much as she did before.

Inconsistent

On a good day, I really like this hay. However, it seems 50/50 whether I get a good bag and this doesn’t change if I get it from Chewy or somewhere else. It will be brown and stringy (if that makes sense). My guinea pigs don’t seem to eat as much of it when it’s like this. When it’s good though I really like it and my pigs do too!

Excellent Hay Blen

Never in a million years did I think I would write a product review for hay, but that's what having guinea pigs does to you. :) This hay smells super sweet and little Roxy chirps every time she smells it. This is the only hay she eats entirely. I buy the 40oz bag and it lasts about one month. Excellent price and an excellent product.

Rough on hands

I'm used to Oxbow hay being much softer than this. My pigs and bunnies still love it and I'm sure it's nutritious, but the timothy portion tears and pokes at my skin and irritates it. Granted, I have allergies and very thin, sensitive skin that is prone to dryness and breaking. I'll just get orchard hay next time.

Smaller Package of Hay

I thought I was keeping the hay fresher for my rabbits, but the hay in the smaller packages are cut shorter. My buns really like to nibble on long strands of hay. they still eat some of it, but use it mostly for nesting. Will switch back to larger packaging next order.

Very Poor Quality Now. :"(

I've bought Oxbow products for over 20yrs. Fergus HATES this bag. To say I'm disappointed is to put it mildly. Fergus WOLFED it down. Now he strews it about his cage. I agree, bag waaay too full; hay quality garbage 2 Fergus who's 10yrs old!
