I saw review about filter in fountain . So I removed mine. Did not find anything out of ordinary. Then had cold snap raised temperature in kitchen . Clean fountain few days later and mold was in motor and in deep cranies. Took several soakings and different brushes get all black stuff out. I am unsure if I order this again. My husband ask not to add it again.
I started putting this in my dog's water about 3 days ago. It's important to note that I have 4 dogs all drinking from a 4 gallon water feeder. I pour a bit in the bowl a few times throughout the day. I do not pour any in the jug since the bottle won't cover 4 gallons. It has seriously cleaned up 3/4 of the dog's breath. The bulldog has always had nasty breath since he started teething and this has cleared him right up. The fourth has improved breath, but not as well as the other three, HOWEVER, the fourth dog doesn't know how to drink water and the majority of what he puts in his mouth doesn't end up swallowed. The product itself has a slight minty smell to it, but the dogs don't seem to notice at all. No upset tummies and no wacked out poops. I gave it 4/5 stars only because the size and price is a bit of an issue for me, but the product does work and pretty well.
I started using this as my older cat is prone to getting build up on his teeth and bad breath. I have several other cats as well and I found this product very easy to use and effective. It works as a good preventative and it doesn’t change the flavor of the water. I usually put out a couple of bowls with and couple bowls without the additive. Oddly enough, all the cats seem to go to the bowls with the additive, no matter which dish it’s in which is good. Would definitely recommend!
My vet recommended a water additive for my cats with gingivitis. They don't seem to mind it, no smell or taste. Time will tell if it helps their oral health.
While it did not take the bad breath completely away it most certainly made it bearable to allow either to lick or breathe in my direction! Life saver cuz how can you turn down such cute admiration?!
I was worried my cat and dog would dislike the taste and stop drinking their water, but it seems to have no effect on the taste or smell. I don't notice much difference in their breath, but I purchased it at the recommendation of my vet since I dropped the added dental plan and they're both young. It seems to do a great job at cleaning their teeth and the vet has since noted their teeth are fine.
I have a cat that is HIV positive that was a rescue with bad teeth and mouth infection going on. With Oxyfresh added to the drinking water and Hills Science Diet Oral Care, his mouth has healed and all swelling gone. His breath is Soooo much better.. Great Product. I use it Daily with his water.
This really works on my dogs breath and has no smell or taste. The large size came with a pump so its super convenient.
So far we are very happy with this water additive. My little Shih Tzu happily drinks his water. We also like that Oxyfresh (unlike other additives we have tried) doesn't cloud-up or funk-up the water after a day. Little Leo had a dental a few months back and our vet made it clear that we must keep up with Leo's dental maintenance. We are hoping a water additive in conjunctive with brushing his teeth several times a week and alternating non-brushing days with a treat designed to help with build-up will all do the trick in keeping his teeth healthy.
I have used this product for years and have excellent results. We even got the thumbs up from our Vet regarding the kitties teeth hygiene.
