  • Good quality catfood

    By on

I purchased this after reading the ingredients and reviews. It is a good quality food for the price but unfornunately, my cats only give it 3 paws up for tastiness.

  • Good brand

    By on

I love the Party Animal brand because my cats seem to thrive on it. My adult cats like this formula only when they're hungry, but my kittens (8 weeks old) eat it all up every single time.

  • Ingredients good - constancy no

    By on

While I really liked the ingredients in this food was disappointed to find that product is not consistent. I have order 6 cases of this total. First 3 cases were good, next 3 looked like completely different food (wish I would have not used all the first 3 to get a picture of difference). Contacted the co. and their response was "because we make holistic/organic products and our ingredients are fresh, we do not always have the ability to control minor fluctuations, one particular batch may look different than the same flavor from another batch cooked on a different day and/or time of the year." This was way different than a "minor fluctuation", so I may purchase another time in future for curiosity While I really liked the ingredients in this food was disappointed to find that product is not consistent. I know this is a great product - that's why I bought it. But my cats don't like it. They walk away from it. So I won't be buying it again. Sorry.

  • All three cats love this one!

    By on

What a relief to find excellent ingredients in a food well accepted by all cats. I like the added cranberries, too; they should be in all the formulas (hint hint Party Animal.) Thanks for offering a great line of quality grain free pet foods, Chewy! Your customer service is as exemplary as always, too.

  • Looks good......

    By on Top 25 Contributor

...However - it unfortunately is NOT a hit with ANY of my four cats. They will take a taste, then decide they don't care much for it. I bought all varieties of Party Animal years ago, and my little guys really cared for none of them, but with the good reviews of the Duck, I thought I'd give it another try. Looks good. Nice soft pate. And the ingredients are excellent - just not to their liking!

  • The Finicky Feline Favorite!

    By on

I have been using Party Animal Chicken and Turkey formulas for my kitties- three indoor and one out (he adopted us in part, I think, because of the quality food I feed my kitties)- and they love them. The turkey is the favorite of the two, and even my picky former feral, who has the nose of a bloodhound, loves it. I supplement with EVO dry, because they love having some crunchies in their life. But I didn't want them to be on a strict chicken and turkey diet, so I tried some Fromm's Hasen Duckfeiffer and Game Bird Formula dry foods, and the cats went wild, especially the former feral. Based on that, I bought a case of P.A. Darling Duck, and that is paws down the favorite of them all! Now my sweet former feral, who usually hides out while the two larger cats impatiently demand their meals, is front and center, waiting for her duck. And she gets fed first, because she demands it! A couple food tips: Go slowly when introducing new foods to cats. You should take 1 to 2 weeks to slowly add the food, a little more each day, to make sure there are no allergies and your cat's sensitive stomach gets used to the new product. Never feed cold food to kitties. Cats should never have food that is too cold or too hot. The best way to warm up canned food is to float a small bowl of it in a larger bowl of hot water, so the food gently warms to a safe temperature. My cats love their food this way. Plus, many cats won't eat cold food, which is good, as it can upset their tummies. But that can make an owner think their cat doesn't like the food, when it's the temperature that's actually bothering them. Finally, store leftover canned food in a glass container. Cats are very sensitive to smells and flavors, and glass is best for storing foods. Owners complain that their cats won't eat food unless it's fresh from a new can, but that's often because the food was left in the can and then refrigerated, and then it was served cold. Just FYI for the kitty lovers out there! … more
