Will it be too intense for a 15 pound dog?

My biggest concern was whether this was appropriate for a 15 pound dog that gets out of control when he sees traffic, birds, squirrels, etc. When I talked to a customer service representative, I was told that this would be a good choice for a small dog. With your return policy, I figured what did I have to loose. I am most satisfied with this collar --- #1 level is just enough to get his attention and has solved my problems with Buster dog. Thank you for the great suggestion..

Even Works with Basenjis!!!

This training collar even works with Basenjis! It is the perfect training tool for the most challenging part of training this breed - getting their attention! When used in conjunction with the outlined training techniques it is wonderfully effective with little to no need to use the shock function minus emergencies. One of my favorite aspects of this collar is the easy to use digital screen on the remote that allows me to control the level of shock. Honestly, I tested it on myself first, starting with the lowest level, so I would know what the dog would experience. I keep it set to the more modest levels because even a little shock goes a long way with a relatively small dog. I’ve found however, that the vibrate function is vastly more effective with this breed, given the sound and the power of the vibration itself definitely interrupts whatever they are hyper focused on at the time! These dogs are so smart and now I have the tool to focus all that intelligence where I want it! Thank you PatPet!

Well I don’t smell burning hair

Just got this. Seems easy enough to set up. Put it on the mutt and he wasn’t super stoked but he knows what’s up. My dog is a little hyper (which is fine) but we’re trying to control the lunging at people and snarling. He’s a rescue so he’s got some anxiety but he cannot nip at people bc I don’t have enough money to be sued. Even if it’s just the ankles that he can bite. But so far so good.

Great Product

The Patpet dog training collar was very easy to set up. It worked flawlessly and my high tempered Chocolate Labrador was in control immediately. So far just the tone & vibration is all I needed to deliver. I am very happy with this product and will recommend to my friends. - Bill R.

This does the trick!

This is the perfect little gadget! We have a 15lb, 6 year old Havanese that barks at everyone and everything, also very challenging on her recall. This gadget has changed it all! It has 3 different modes, sound, vibration and shock. The vibration is just enough to warn her without hurting her and thats all we need. She comes when I call and has calmed down on her barking. I hope I wont have to use the shock.

FINALLY a SMALL Training collar!

I am thrilled that PATPET has a released a training collar that is designed for smaller breeds. This product is fantastic and exceptional in that most training/shock collars are made for much larger dog breeds and subsequently can become cumbersome if placed on a smaller dog (less than 20lbs). I am a huge fan of PATPET products and use them extensively for my own pups and ones that I help train and foster. This would be perfect for anything like a Pomeranian, a Maltese, a Chihuahua, s Yorkie, Pug, anything that has a propensity to bark or need correction that is on the smaller size. To note, the collar length is adjustable so can placed on a larger dog, however I would recommend their other normal sized training collars for that instead. As with their other models, this too has 16 levels of shock, vibration, and tone. It is also water proof and reaches almost 1000 ft in distance coverage.

This collar is well made and much more than I expected for the cost. As with everything I order from Chewy it arrived quickly and well packaged. The collar is not overly bulky for a smaller breed and does exactly what it is supposed to. Love that it has the beeper and the vibration functions as an option to the shock. Excellent value for the price!

Small Collar

This training collar is great if you have a smaller pet. I love that my Pomeranian can wear this and the prongs are still long enough to reach her skin through her fur. It is super affective in redirecting their interest. I mainly use this as a barking deterrent. When she barks I press the vibrate and it’s enough to get her to be confused and stop barking. The packaging says do not leave this on for an extended period so I only have this only about 3 hours daily while I am actively watching her. This is the first collar I’ve seen that is designed for smaller pets so I highly recommend.

Smaller Training Collar

This training collar works great if you have small hands or small pet. The ability to strap to your arm is great for walks. I like that my pet can be seen more easily at night time while walking too. Rechargeable is a plus and being waterproof is a huge plus as well. I recommend this training collar.
