One year ago I purchased the patpet p650 and worked amazing. Right before the year was up the collar stopped working. We needed this for when letting my dog out so she would stop running away. If I ever have to use the shock part which is rare the highest I have to put it on is 6. Higher than that is too high for her. It works great and in one year I think I only had to charge it twice. I’m not sure if the charger just stopped working on the collar or what but I repurchased the same kind this time buying 2 collars with it for my other dog who is really well behaved but they both have issues with the pizza man and I figured a little beep or vibrate may help train them both to not act like hellions every time we order pizza lol.
With in 1 day of verbal command followed by escalation of “beep”, vibrate and shock setting my dogs are completely behaved. I only had to introduce the shock 2x with my larger dog when we was mid-pond he turned back and returned to me. My large female was afraid of it for the first 2 days and when hearing the beep run the porch, but with treats and praise both learned to come when called and stay in the property lines and out of the pond in 1 week. When laying rough they stop when told to and when neighbors come by with their dogs they will sit calmly. At this stage they listing verbally and I only use the beep if unresponsive to verbal. Vibrate and shock aren’t even necessarily right now (not saying it won’t be- we haven’t encountered needing to stop a deer chase yet) THIS IS AN AMAZINGLY easy set device, and the charge stayed for the whole week so far.
This device did everything it says it will do, and seems good quality, but it was not effective on my dog. I adopted him at 7 years old. He did not get walks with his other family, and now he's learning how to walk. He loves his daily walk, but the problem is when we come upon another dog. All hell breaks loose, and when he's in the zone the shock did not get his attention. This is the third device I've tried, the first two did not have shocks, only beeps, and I've given up on them. What is working is holding a really good treat in my hand and giving him bits of it when he is fighting against all his impulses to bark. He no longer lunges and barks at squirrels - we are making progress.
Purchased this product a few months back and we are extremely happy with it. We have a 1yo Australian Shepherd and this has allowed us to train him off leash in the yard. He’s learned that after the audible tone comes the vibration, and he responds very quickly. I have yet to use the shock option, and at this point I don’t see that I’ll have to. Wasn’t sure how it was going to work with a long haired dog, but it’s great. I’ve already recommended it to others for their dogs.
Our chihuahua mix had progressively gotten worse at barking at anything and any noise so I found this low profile collar that fits his little neck much better than other brand I'd seen. After just a few times of beeping and vibrating only, he has learned to stop using when we tell him to. I do not use the shock but the vibration gets his attention if the beep doesn't. I like this product.
I have a literally tried every bark collar made for my jack Russell/rat terrier mix. Absolutely nothing worked. I have to tell you this is the best one ever it’s perfect. Just the beep alone on it works on him. I’m absolutely amazed. His neck is so skinny 11lbs. The way this is made with the piece that goes next to the neck. It’s perfect even when it twist around. It still works. Now I wish I would’ve bought two at one time instead of just one. Now I gotta pay full price for another one.
I gave the collar three stars because it worked great for the barking but badly irritated my dogs skin. I never used the shock or vibrate, just the beeping as that worked perfectly for my dog. I only had it for two weeks when I saw my dogs fur had fallen out and his skin was irritated right where the box sat against his neck. Chewy customer service was awesome and refunded me the money. Just be aware this could happen to your dog and be sure to check.
I bought this to try and deter my puppy from certain behaviors. I use it a lot for barking. I have not used the shock feature at all. I just use the vibrate button when she starts doing something naughty and she will get mildly startled and lay down. Great product especially for the price!
Pretty and functional, however there is no way to hold on to the remote as you do things. No tie or lanyard, holes or clips. So I put it my pocket, the buttons get pressed. Set it down, can’t find it quickly since it’s grey and white in color. The collars are nice, but not easy to trade out the fabric portion. I have rescue dogs and often need to wash or change the size of the collars, these are that easy to do. I haven’t used the shock function yet or installed the prongs as the vibrate and beep are my main functions. I wish the souls volume could be adjusted.
I like that the pulse has different strengths. There's also a buzz and a beep. It comes with a NFC tag to put on your pet's collar, which is nice. Don't use the clip that comes with it though, you'll lose it immediately. The remote doesn't have a strap, which is weird. I can't hang it up or attach it to my wrist for easy access. So that was disappointing and I anticipate it getting lost without one. Hopefully it works so my dog will stop barking nonstop.
