Customize your canine or feline pal’s feeding schedule with PATPET Dual Power Supply Voice Recorder Timed Dry Food Dog & Cat Feeder. This automatic pet feeder features a touch screen and a digital timer that lets you set time intervals between your BFF’s meals. Schedule up to six meals daily! Or you can make custom feeding intervals for the same meal if you want your pet to eat slower. The airtight design helps keep your fur-iend’s food dry and safe inside the feeder. The dual-power supply comes in handy because the battery backup will keep dispensing your pet's dinner, even if the power goes out. If the power goes out without the batteries inside, the meal settings will still be there when the power comes back on. This food dispenser can store up to 16.9 cups of dry food (under 0.7in diameter) and the desiccant bag helps keep food fresh! Even better, the hopper and bowl are made from BPA-free plastic and stainless steel, they are easy to disassemble and they are a breeze to clean because they are dishwasher-safe!

Description says for small, medium, or large dogs, not so sure about this. The manual serving size is a joke, about 9 pieces of dog food come out. I had to give 12 manual servings to fill the tiny bowl halfway. Just get a scoop and fill it from the hopper at that point. Maybe my mind will change when I use autofeed in the morning since you can set volume that way (though there is no way to test or measure either). Surprised so many good reviews but everyone has pictures of cats and and little yappy dogs, maybe this is for them. Might be returning this.
Have been using this product for about 2 weeks now, and have to say....I am pretty impressed with it! We bought it for our cat; and it did not take him long at all to start using this feeder. After the first time it dropped food into the bowl and he realized he was getting fed, he has used it without any problems at all. The sound of his food dropping into the stainless steel bowl brings him running! Setting it, at first; was a learning experience for me; but did not take long to get it figured out. From what I have figured out, having the setting on the 1 drops about 1/8 cup of food.....the 2 - about 1/4 cup. I would certainly recommend this feeder!
I bought this in an attempt to train my cat not to think my only job is to dispense food and to be sure he gets fed a little bit more often. The measurement of the food for 1 10g serving is not reliable in terms of amount. I have feed 1 - serving 4 times a day but often the thrid serving looks like two as the instructions state - but it is alot more. Easy to set up, love the recording that plays my message at each meal. Seems well made. Only negative is making sure that your cat is not overfed if you are not at home. The batteries and timer make sure that all is well even if power is lost. Very flexible unit and for the price is a bargain.
It works as advertized! Follow the little instruction booklet though, it was not intuitive. The cat stopped yelling at me!!! Now he yells at me about other stuff.,
I love this pet feeder. It's easy to set up with the directions, and the battery backup is a lifesaver. Lost power here last week in a blizzard, and didn't have to worry! Nice large bin, so with my boy I fill it 2x a month or so. (He's on a diet, so he's on the lowest setting 6x a day). Would recommend to anyone looking for a timed pet feeder!
The directions for how to set up the feeder are pretty simple and are also available on the lid at all times. That's pretty convenient if you don't want to get the booklet every time. However, something I noticed while testing the feeder is that it doesn't dispense the correct amount of food. When setting it up for 30 grams, 42 grams were dispensed. When setting it up for 50 grams, it dispensed 68 grams. It seems that it dispenses 1.36~1.40 times the amount that it's set for. This isn't too big of a deal if you just divide your intended amount by 1.4 and round to the nearest multiple of 10 grams. I understand this could be a hassle for some, and maybe it's because we're using this for cat food instead of dog food, but it is a pretty quick feeder to set up for multiple meals a day at different times. I also like how it records the clicking sound I make when I feed my cat myself and plays it while dispensing food.
This is such a good product for people who struggle figuring out the right portions for their cat. My cat is chubby and needs a certain amount of food, and I was always worried he was getting over fed when I wasn't around. Now I know he's getting exactly the amount I want to give him. You have to play around with it a bit, it's a little confusing at first but if you give yourself a good amount of time to play with all the features it's not too bad. Just keep the manual somewhere safe in case you forget or need to change anything. My cat is also a coward and was scared of the feeder for about a week, the food on the metal bowl is pretty loud so keep that in mind for nervous pets. But now he runs to his bowl the moment he hears it to chow down.
As noted in other reviews, this thing is complicated to get set up. Even changing the time takes some fiddling. Once done, however, it works flawlessly . Quiet, precise food delivery. The voice recorder is silly. Cats are too busy eating to pay any attention at all to it.
Worked as advertised. Was a pain to program and I never could get the feeding times when I wanted. My girls still got fed, they were just extra confused. I'll use it again if I vacation, but went back to the regular bowls for now.
I purchased this as we are leaving town for several days and have 4 cats that need to be fed. Setup was made easy after watching how-to videos. The hopper holds much more cat kibble than I thought. I normally don't write reviews but the company requires you to in order to receive the lifetime warranty.
