Defective product
I had the same experience with the instructions for dowels and screws reversed from what is physically possible. I contacted the company with photos of step 2 where construction is impossible. We tried to reverse dowels snd screws based on their recommendation. This is impossible bc holes do not fit the hardware. Will pursue a refund - this product is defective.
Very happy
The stand was very sturdy and just the right height for my older dog. Sadly we had to put her down a couple months ago and it is a little high for the puppy that we got but we will keep it in storage until the puppy gets taller
Elevated Feeder dog bowl
I bought this for my senior Shepard/Akita mix. she is 13. She used to eat laying down but seemed to be having difficulties lately, so I bought this. She LOVES it. Hasn't missed a meal or drink since she started using it.
Why Didn’t We Get This Sooner?
We had our Husky-Jindo dog for almost four years before we bought this elevated feeding station. She tore a ligament in her knee and couldn’t place weight on that leg, making it difficult for her to balance while eating. We looked at what was available and liked the look and height of this bamboo feeder. Even though we keep one bowl full of water, we kept her water dispenser as backup next to the feeder. I know she loves it. She can eat comfortably, and when her water bowl is empty she ignores the old dispenser and comes to tell me she needs more water in the feeder. I feel bad that we have been making her bend over so far to eat out of a bowl on the floor all this time.

this came with the dowels and the screws already in it and in the opposite places they are supposed to be in per the video, I contacted Perfect Paws and they said the factory made a mistake and I had to go to Chewey's for refund. No help at all.

We bought 2 of these for our Anatolian Shepherd, both of them where defective (holes are not drilled properly and cheap hardware). Chewy promptly refunded our money.
Great quality for the price
I appreciate the sturdiness of this product once assembled and the extra bowls provided are a very nice bonus. Extra assembly hardware was provided which was nice when one of the screws dropped on the floor and flew under the fridge! Our big dog adapted to his raised bowls right away and seems to really love them.
