Why are some pet playpens not able to be shipped to California
Answer by bbbbApr 09, 2022
Most of the time items can't be shipped to CA is because they have high lead content. This means you wouldn't want it anyways

Is it big enough for 4 cats?
Answer by ChewyOct 26, 2022
This playpen is able to fit multiple pets, so long as they can comfortably fit in the dimensions of 48 inches long x 48 inches wide x 25 inches high.

Need folding instructions for Paws & Pals Portable Pet Playpen. Can't figure out how to fold it small enough to fit in tote bag.
Answer by ChewyNov 21, 2018
To fold, first remove the mesh top. Next, fold the panel to right of the band (always keep the band exposed). Fold the panel inward into corner. Fold the next panel inward to make an 'M' shape. Fold completely flat. Wrap the band around the pet pen and place all parts into the carry bag.

Would this be easy to take to the beach everyday for use with a ~55lb Pit mix?
Answer by ChewyJul 13, 2017
Depending on the wind gust, this product includes outdoor anchoring stakes.

Please save your money!

Please do not buy this tent. I bought two of these tents four months ago for my very small puppy, and he has destroyed and escaped out of both of them (he only used it occasionally if I’m cooking or etc). I am very upset that I wasted my money. I bought two to have them in two separate locations and I ended up having to bring one from the other location in just after one month. My 5 month old small breed puppy can easily collapse and flip over this tent. I have returned home and the tent is completely collapsed on top of him. There are numerous holes and gashes in the tent from him simply walking in it. Puppies can easily escape this tent with a few swipes at the zipper, as it is not sturdy at all, and easily pry apart. This tent is pretty cheaply made, and can easily be moved and flipped over. Please see the photos I have attach.

didn't hold up

Unfortunately, as soon as my can put his paws on the netting it would tip over - repeatedly. Kept tipping over even when I put some heavy books inside on the edges. The zipper ripped within a week. I used it in a car when I traveled and wanted to have it outside for a safe area for my cat. It unfortunately is in the garbage.

Great for NPOG litter transport

Our 501(c)(3) Rescue, Whitey's Only Wish, gets these for our volunteer drivers to use on transport for potty breaks for puppies on transport that should not be on the ground in public places.

Flimsy & Cheap

Would not recommend this. Too flimsy and cheaply made. Already coming apart.

Great for price.

Look, I think its a great product for the price and size. Sorry your animal is a little maniac and tries to claw its way out of the pen. That isn't the companies fault. Go and buy a heavy duty one then if your animal isn't calm when put in an enclosure. Anyway, im using this for pigeons and silkie chickens and its great! Keeps the mess of them throwing their food out and plent of room to stretch.

Just OK, not good for cats

I ordered this as a playpen for my two kittens, with the intention of using it outdoors. Unfortunately, the zipper lasted about five minutes against a pair of teething kittens, so it couldn't be used outdoors. We used it as an indoor cat lounge for about two weeks before they ripped up the flimsy fabric with their little claws. The playpen arrived nicely folded up in its tote bag (which was a primary reason why I bought it), but I could not get it to fold back up properly to fit in the bag, no matter how I tried. It came with no instructions, so spent two hours looking for some kind of instructional video on how to fold this specific playpen: nothing. One of the poles snapped in my efforts to fold the playpen, and poked through the fabric a few days later. If you have small, docile critters like rabbits and guinea pigs, this playpen MIGHT work... but if you have cats, dogs, or ferrets, don't waste your money. Spend a few extra dollars something sturdier that will last.

Very Portable!

My cat really enjoys sitting in this playpen and watching nature with human supervision. (She would prefer to be frolicking freely in the backyard catching all the birds, but this playpen is an acceptable alternative). It's a good size for her to pace in and it's VERY easy to fold up and put away after use. The zippers don't seem to be super sturdy, but it's otherwise great.

Disappointed

This is basically my fault for not paying attention. I bought this same playpen a couple years ago. It was the best thing I’ve purchased, so when I logged into my chewy account I went to previous orders to order the same one. What a rip off. Besides the price going up $10, the material is just flimsy, the bottom use to come out now it’s the same terrible material as the rest of it. There were 2 opens on both sides for the animals to walk in now there’s 1. I will be returning this item if I can figure out how. It’s so sad that the price went up $10 and it’s now a terrible product. It also doesn’t come in the square bag it comes in a little circle bag which makes it impossible to put back in without possibly breaking.

OK. Not 48” as advertised

This pen works for short term. Kitten claws easily made holes in the bottom. Frustratingly, the enclosure is only 45” not 48”. I bought a washable pad for a 48” enclosure & it is way too big.

Not good for puppies

I recently adopted a 12 week old Wire Fo-Tzu and bought this pen to keep him contained when i’m showering and whatnot. It’s a huge space for him to play but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with a wild pup! He zipped his way out of the side door and it had to be pinned closed. I would take him out and put him in through the top until he broke the top entrance zipper and was pulling it down into the pen. When he runs around in it, he moves the whole thing when he jumps into the side of it. He’s a whopping 4.1lbs but spunky! Not recommended for wild pups.
