Paw Width: Using our Pawprint-able Sizing Guide, place your pet's paw on the diagram and mark the widest points at the left and right side of the paw. This area is usually near the base of the toes.
Paw Length: With you pet's paw still in position, mark the longest points at the front and back of the paw; remember your pet's nails will need to fit too.

Been using these for years. 2 dogs...xl for 100lb giant schnauzer and s for a 24lb terrier mix. Would not be able to go for long walks without them here in the snow pack and sub freezing temps of colorado. (Paw freeze) I agree they they are a pain to put on, but once you get the hang of it, it goes pretty quick. The big guy could care less, the little girl completely freezes up, lifts each paw and tripods and looks at me like I'm the worst dog mom on the planet. Each and every time! But as soon as we head out the door she just bops right along like she is wearing nothing. Goofball! I also like these because the big guy loves to dive and plow thru big snow drifts. These booties don't come off. Not good for off lead running tho. Nails pop thru.
We live in Wisconsin and prior to getting these booties Bob's feet would get snow packed in his laws that would turn into ice balls. With these on we had non of that issue and he goes bounding through the snow like a young pup (he is 9 yrs old). Did not buy the pack that I have at Chewy's. But I will from now on. People complaining about being to tight on the dogs foot have purchased the wrong size for their dog. These STAY ON.
I did not know they were balloons. I thought it had a place for the paws. I am worried about the stability.
These are like balloons. The bottoms are like round shape. PROBLEM: the tops are about the size of a small balloon (maybe dime shape-at most) and NO WAY can stretch to get over dogs paw to get even on feet. HORRIBLE & highly suggest Chewy don't sell. (p.s. 1st time sent you guys negative comment).
Definitely don't recommend these balloon booties. My 17 pound shih tzu kept licking her paws so much they were turning red, so we put these on and ohhh it was a mistake - the band around the angle is SO tight it left a red indent in her skin. It's also nearly impossible to get these off without pulling hair out. You can't get a grip on the band to pull them off! Way way too tight, yet the paw area was bigger. I'm going to try to return these.
I love to use these for my dog but primarily in the cold weather due to the salt. He is a pug mix and the orange fit well but I like to use the small size so he has a little more space (he hates them but walks great in them). However in the hot weather (recently) they have been transferring on to his feet due to the sweating. Have not had that problem yet but after two separate packs he’s had pink feet
The boots ended up being to small/tight for my pup. Tried to put them on and he tipped and pulled his foot away.
Got XS as chart says for paws 1-1/2” to 2”. My dogs paws measure 1-7/8. The neck is so tight that my dog was highly uncomfortable and I was afraid it was cutting off circulation. The neck measured less than 1 inch and didn’t have a lot of stretch without a large amount of effort, so basically like a tourniquet. Placed it on my thumb and it was tight as sun. The back of the package has a gauge to place your dog’s paw on. Perhaps that would have helped me with sizing as buying online without having this to look at was unfortunate. Basically, it’s a small balloon.
These were thick rubber balloons with necks way too narrow to put on my dogs' feet.
I have an older dog that is having difficulty getting up on our LVP floors. I was hoping these would give her traction. They are very difficult to put on. Within a few minutes of wearing these my dog started limping. I believe they cut off her circulation.
