is this 100% cotton? if not, what are the materials?

The top layer is 100% terry cotton, the mid layer is a polyester wadding, and the under later is made of coated polyester for waterproofing. PeapodMats feature TPU waterproof coating and are certified by an independent third-party lab to be free of lead, cadmium, mercury and all phthalates.
Can things such as spay & wash, Laundry Sanitizer or Clorox 2 non chlorine be used when washing these or will they also effect the water resistance?

The manufacturer does not recommend the use of fabric softener, dryer sheets, dryer balls or bleach. These products are known to reduce the quality of waterproofing. Vinegar or Oxyclean may be use once in awhile if you need to deodorize your PeapodMat.

The Small mat measures 18 x 18 x 1 inch, the Medium 36 x 36 x 1 inch and the Large measures 60 x 36 x 1 inch (length x width x thickness).
Can I cut this pad down to fit my current crate?

It is not advised to cut your PeapodMat, as this will cut through the layers and your PeapodMat will no longer be waterproof.

It Works for Me!

I have a very thirsty great dane that only gets half the water he drinks into his mouth...the other half winds up on my floor. After struggling with messy towels under his bowl, I started looking for a big waterproof something and thought this might work. IT'S PERFECT! 3x5, waterproof and machine washable!!

Mat works well and washes well

I have two senior kitties who sometimes urinate or defecate around the litter box. By putting the litter box on top of this mat, I can protect my wood floors. I bought the yellow one because it was cheapest. It's a very bright color, but I don't care, given what it's for, lol.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION INACCURATE

Bought this product for my dog's crate. He (hopefully) temporarily has overflow incontinence at night due to high dose steroids. This mat just arrived. It looks like it will be great on top of another crate mat to protect it from urine leakage. However, the mat is NOT 1 inch thick as per the product description on Chewy. It is at most 1/3 inch thick. Therefore, it will not suffice as a crate pad by itself. It would have been helpful to know that before purchase. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5 star rating, it looks well made, comfy and useful.

Please update the description

this is not 1-in thick. Like the 4 star review earlier it will not work as a crate mat which is why I bought it based on the description. Please update it. However I would recommend depending on your need.

Plushy towel like surface.

I like the quality of the fabric. It's big. I fold it in half. Next time smaller size. I use it on top of a dense foam mat since it is not very thick.

Perfect waterproof pad

I have tried several different pads for my bed. It is low profile - really nice fabric and looks great. I would highly recommend this product. Ordering a second one!

Wonderful Mats

In my multi-cat household with several special needs cats these mats have worked out wonderful! Easily washed and the all the cats love them! Good investment!
