I never received my order. I am totally heartbroken and devastated as it is Because I just lost my cat Roady on March 2 And this was for his cremation ashes to be put in for my heartbroken children. I needed this to take to the cremation facility and now I can't...I'm so hurt.
I lost my cat Roady who i found on the side of the road at only 2 months old passed away unexpectedly at the age of 6 on March 2, 2022. This beautiful keepsake box holds his favorite toys, cat nip, pictures anything you want to put in it. It's made really nice n heavy.
I purchased this solely to get my fur baby's paw print, all was going well until not only her paw got stuck but it seemed like after drying, the print ... I guess "puffed" back into original shape. Very disappointed. For the price paid, you'd expect to get a perfect print and it still be there in the morning. Not the case, will definitely be purchasing something a bit more trustworthy.
We tried to do this with our dog and the clay got so stuck in his paws and won’t come out. Obviously didn’t turn out and now we can’t get the clay out of this fur.
I purchased the after my Felix passed away, so I had to make a mold of his paw print to put inside the frame and it came out really nice. Made one for his brother that passed a few years ago, and that also came out very nice.
This kit was very straight forward and easy to make. I happened to choose a muddy day as you can see, but I think it gives them character lol. I wanted to get prints of all my babies in case something were to ever happen. Very happy with the result!
This is a very nice frame and kit to make a memorable paw print for your furry family member. The price here on Chewy is often much lower than getting it from your vet. We love Chewy and are very happy to be a part of the Chewy family for several years now.
Our lab/shep mix is 16 & I wanted to get this to remember her by ahead of time so I wouldn't be fussing with plaster when she wasn't feeling well. She didn't mind the process at all. If you follow the instructions for the print (because clearly that's what makes or breaks the project), you should have no trouble at all. I saw one review that said her paw print bowed while it was drying so I made sure I flipped it over the days that it was drying and pressed the edges down gently each time. It IS more like foam than plaster. My only suggestion is that the company provides a bigger piece of double sided tape. If you have a big dog with a big print, you'll need to add some more of your own. I always have double sided Gorilla tape on hand so this was no big deal. Hot glue probably would work as well. Very happy with this product.
I laid this clay flat, yet it bowed while it was drying and now it is too thick for the frame. I have sanded this down as far as I could, and it still doesn’t fit. It’s also rugged on the sides now because the clay is more like a foam.
These frames are nice and everything went well using them. Good instructions and easy to use. I ordered 3 one for each of my kids to keep of their childhood dog. My only issue and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the finish on one of the 3 frames had drops of varnish on the front of the frame as an obvious flaw no one would want. So I will have to try to see if I can get a replacement. This is especially unfortunate as our dog recently died and I wanted these to be available for my kids as soon as possible.
