Choking Danger
I came home to find one of our 2 1/2 old foster kittens with three of the elastic bands from this cat tree wound tightly around his neck and the weight of the whole tree on top of him as he lay on the floor. I'd purposely waited until the kittens were all over 2 months and above 4 pounds to allow them to play on this toy, and we had owned one before that was well-loved with no issues. Never again, though. I'm not sure how he did it, but clearly it can be done. Every time the poor little guy struggled, those 3 elastic bands tightened. I won't take a chance again on this toy.
We lost a mouse
My cats love this toy that was delivered today, however in less then 12 hours & the cats already broke off a mouse. It's a great idea, but you need something stronger to hold the the mice on. When you pay 40 plus dollars for an item you don't expect it break in a day.
Fun Addition
My cats enjoy this toy. I put other toys in the middle and they like to attack them and the mice. It’s a fun way to add a scratching post to your house. My only complaint is that the blue stuff comes off and gets in my carpet.
Junk Don’t Waste Your Money
This scratching post lasted a month. The design is flawed because the sisal doesn’t go all the way around the post itself. My cats have shredded it as a result. Also, the hanging mice have not held up. My cats ripped the mouse off it’s stuffing. I ended up having to cut two off so far because they were trying to eat the stuffing.
