Not sure why this is getting poor reviews. It took a little bit to get the posts locked into place, but it seems way more sturdy than the last tree I bought. Mine is on a pretty old carpeted floor and seems to be staying put just fine. My cat loved the sisal posts right away and loved exploring the tree. I will say the top most platform isn't that sturdy if you set it up according to the plans. I don't like that the cat head-shaped hiding box doesn't have any room in front of it for entry, but it's not bad.

I ordered this because I wanted solid wood and that’s what the description claims. This was false. I got a press board or particle board tree. Looks pretty, not stable. But I kept it because I like the locking mechanisms it used, instead of the screws my last tree used. But the locking mechanisms kept unlocking when my cats would scratch the posts for too long! The whole top half fell over when my cat climbed to the top, plus the top platform completely tore apart from the post, splintering the board underneath. Thankfully my fur baby wasn’t hurt! I’ll just continue my search for a REAL solid wood tree for them.
Very poorly designed

This cat tree is one of the worst designs I've ever seen. The platforms are so small and crowded my 9 lb cat can't even get up past the first level. There's absolutely no space on the middle tier for cats to be able to climb up, leaving the top two platforms and the middle level unusable.
Good for the $

This item is not as pictured, they are picturing an older generation of the tree. Received and assembled the new one today and it has a much cheaper look and is not as stable as the old version. Still good for the $ if you get it on sale but I’m a little disappointed as I loved the first one we bought 4 years ago.
