Don't make the same mistake I did!
I was so excited to get this for my axolotl that I didn't read the reviews. I opened the box today and it has so many sharp edges that there's no way its safe for fish, let alone an axolotl! It also seems very cheaply made and flimsy. I didn't bother setting it up and will be returning it.
Very nice shelf
A absolutely love this corner shelf for my newer 10 gallon. It fits in great with the bright and dark pirate theme and my mystery snails and green corydoras love it. The only real complaint I have about it is it’s a little bit of a fuss to get sat just right but when you do it looks great. If it wasn’t for that it would have definitely gotten 5 stars from me.
Flimsy and Sharp
Thin plastic with holes on the platform of the terrace. Also very sharp edges and since they’re part of the look of the item you can’t really shave it down or sand it so not good for some fish.
Flimsy and easily displaced
I was so happy to find this item available once again that I ordered two. In the past (90's) I had one of these corner shelves and it was sturdy and stayed in place, I had a large clown loach that used it as his shelter. That shelf lasted for many years until the support column finally deteriorated. This current version of the shelf is made with thinner plastic, it has very weak suction cups that easily fall off both the shelf and the glass. It simply does not stay where it's supposed to. Trying to add a little gravel on the top (as pictured on the box), makes the shelf collapse as the suction cups give way. No idea why the supporting column is now so thin and weak, too. Very disappointed. I will have to modify it so it can actually be used as intended.
SO INSANELY SHARP!
I bought this because it is a super cool idea, I have a community, 20 gallon fish tank, and I was so excited to have a shelf that my african dwarf frogs, snails, and tetras would love. OH MY GOODNESS. EVERY SINGLE "SPIKE" YOU MAY SEE IN THE PICTURE. IS JUST THAT... A SUPER SHARP SPIKE. I ran my finger across one of the sharper looking parts, and it was almost like when I cut myself with a box cutter at work. I am going to have to spend more money on sand paper to definitely dull down all the sharp parts. Believe me when I say, any part of the picture that looks like it will be sharp, will be even sharper than you thought.. the plastic is also so thin, I'm not sure if sanding it down will help.. I'm actually kind of disappointed. It is a great idea, but I don't want to shred my fish buddies. I'm going to try and sand down the edges, and then will post an update.
Cool idea, sharp edges
Got this for my axolotls since they love their hammocks and sitting on ornaments, but the edges are way too sharp for them. Very thin, cheap plastic. Returned to Chewy, their service was fantastic as always!
Awesome & Snails Love it!
I ordered this for my 20 gallon tank of mystery snails. It looks great in the tank and the snails enjoy hiding underneath, crawling on top, and hanging upside down on the underneath! Shrimp love it too!

See above-suction cups will not maintain height. Brace is too wobbly to work.
