Keeping your feeder clean and full of fresh bird seed is very important to the health of visiting birds. It is recommended that you clean your wild bird feeder every two weeks with mild soap and water solution.
A sheltered southeastern exposure is best for hanging a bird feeder since birds like to feed in the sun and out of the wind. Birds also prefer to have a clear view over their feeding area so they can see any predators.
Hang your bird feeder away from trees, bushes, fences or buildings. Squirrels and other predators may use these to climb or jump onto the bird feeder. If you must hang the bird feeder on a tree, keep it at least six feet from the trunk or the tree limbs.
Hummingbird feeders should be hung out of direct sunlight, since the sun can spoil the nectar. They should also be hung away from windy areas and out of reach of cats. If possible, place the hummingbird feeder in and around trumpeting flowers. This will help attract more birds to your hummingbird feeder.

Great product. Perfectly described as it is. Quality is great.
You need to clean hummingbird feeders regularly so the birds don't get bacteria. I thought when I flipped it over all the juice would go back into the bottle but instead it poured out from the base. I should've read the previous bad reviews.
I ordered yesterday and my order arrived today. Wow love Chewy! My hummers will be so happy with the new addition to the feeders this year. This red one is so very nice with a slim bottle but great size. Most of my feeders have red on them but this is a red bottle of beautiful color when the sun hits it it will be one of the stars of the feeders. So looking forward to hanging this spring. It is well made and unscrews easily, the website doesn't really show the detail well but it is really pretty with a stainless steel looking plate with delicate red flowers. I am pleased with this purchase.
The glass and base are all good quality. It should last a long time. I’m very happy.
These feeders are junk, unfortunately! There are cheap, short pieces of wire attached to keep the lid on and supposedly to hang it. They are so short they dont even keep the lid in place, and there is NO WAY you can hang this....anywhere. I bought these as neighbor gifts. I am so disappointed. They are going back.
Just what I was looking for. Made very well. Good price. Hummers went right too it. Have not found another like it made as well. It’s tip too! Thought I’d have to wait til next year for a new feeder then poof. I see it on Chewys. People who don’t shop here should sure check them out. Best company in the business in my opinion.
The feeder features a nice, sturdy glass bottle. However, the bottleneck is too narrow to fill. The flowers on the bottom of the feeder have a flimsy plastic neck to them, and they do not stay in place. After only a couple of days, we lost two. When opening the bottom for cleaning, the edge of the metal part (the metal disc) is so sharp, that I cut my hand on it. It's a shame. because it is a nice-looking feeder.
I am wondering if the hummers in my neighborhood are wary because of the red? when I first moved in, (12 years ago) one of my neighbors told me the local birds won't drink water with the dye. so we have always had clear feeders. And we have several families that live in the trees out front. yes we've changed the water every week. ADAM'S POINT AREA.
It's pretty, the hummingbirds liked it and I used it for 3 summers. Eventually, the red coating started to peel. If I had to lodge a complaint, it would be that's it's difficult to clean because of the narrow neck.
I purchased this few years ago. The jar has faded in color a bit but still standing with no rust. I decided to purchased a cheaper one from a chain store later and it’s completely destroyed. Am buying a second one today.
