Medium Sized Feeder
From the picture, one couldn’t tell if it was metal, plastic and glass. I would have liked a better description of this feeder. It is a combination of metal and plastic. The glass is a plexy glass and all the clear pieces were smudged with fingerprints. No I could not remove them with glass cleaner. For the price, I expected better quality but I’m from an older generation. I want things to last. Since we leave in the mountains, it’s a 30 minute drive into town to mail back items. Not worth the hassle. Anyhow, only the animals will see the smudges; If they don’t eat through the plastic pieces first.
Lovely but birds wouldn’t use it
I absolutely love how this looks but for whatever reason the birds felt differently. They would not use it. I am not sure if they were put off by the bright color or angled reflective glass but our other chewy.com feeder is well loved by the birds and though this one had the same exact seed the birds stayed away from it. Odd but I suppose to the birds it made sense :)
Very dissatisfied
I have bought 2 of these feeders! Both of them have broken pieces at the bottom and faded feom sun. Recently my squirrel proof feeder didn't survive a squirrel! The cable snapped! Very dissatisfied!!
squirrels/ raccoons destroyed it
Top came off too easily. To did not secure well. Found the top out of place on many occasions. It’s a flimsy feeder for the price, after a couple of months I had to replace it because the body of the feeder was misaligned with the tray. It’s not worth the price.
great feeder
This was love at first sight for the birds. Usually when I put a new feeder out they have to get used to it...they went to it the first day it was out.
working out really well
have tried so many different bird feeders, trying to find one the birds like and one the squirrels won't destroy. The birds have nearly emptied it so they are using it, and the squirrels who have wrecked the feeder hanging nearby have ignored this one. I think the weight of the cap and the overall design make it harder for the squirrels to break into. I'm glad I bought this. It is attractive, functional, well-priced. Looks like it will last for a long time.
Red feeder
It's so pretty, but....the bottom part is plastic not metal. Squirrels will dig that up.
Excellent Feeder
This is good, sturdy and easy to fill. One person commented that they wish the perch part was metal not plastic. I imagine plastic is a safety feature for the birds who land on it. in extreme cold weather their feet could freeze and stick to the metal, hence the plastic perch.

Birds love this feeder
This is the second time purchasing this feeder. It's metal and glass, easy to clean and the birds love it because it has a wide shelf all around that they can perch on. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the perch around is made of plastic. and the elements faded and weakened the plastic. eventually a few of them broke. Don't know why the whole feeder isn't made of metal. Otherwise it's a great bird feeder!
