    Can’t open

Bought mason jar bird waterer Instructions say remove base, fill with water and replace base. No instruction on how to remove the base! It is useless because I can’t get the base off! I tried twisting nothing?

Thirsty Birds in the Desert Love It

    By on

It took a little while for the birds to find it, but after a couple weeks it’s very popular! I felt bad for panting birds in my Arizona yard, so I added this waterer. I’ve had nearly constant visits from finches and woodpeckers that really appreciate the water source!

    Water for my feathered friends.

Only thing I did not like was wish hook part could be bigger. Hard to hang on my pole so have to tape it to my deck and hope it does not get knocked down.

    Well made, attractive

This will serve the smallest of wild birds like wrens & goldfinches. Larger wild birds like blue jays, doves, woodpeckers will go thirsty.

    They like this

    By on

At first they were scared of it. Now they all drink from it. Seems to stay cool for them. The bottom is plastic so it doesn't heat up.

A blessing for my indoor companion bird!

    By on

My sennie has an interesting back story and I rescued him about a year ago now. He still suffers from trauma from his past life so he prefers to stay in his cage with the door shut. He can get pretty freaked out and stressed from me changing his water daily, so this seemed like a good gamble. After reading a review about someone using it for their indoor bird, I decided it was worth a try. It took him a little bit to figure out it was his water bowl and it took me a few tried to find the right spot for it in his cage, but now he loves it! I think he appreciates i dont go in his cage every day now and the water stays clean and fresh as long as I keep it in the back corner of his cage. Appears to work ok

I was glad that I saw another comment that you needed to buy a separate hook for this. I'm still waiting to see some birds drink from it.
