Easy to just fill and hang for birds. I placed mine on the ground for the wild rabbits. May buy a second for another location in my yard.

Love this water dispenser

I purchased this water dispenser for my chickens because it is glass and better for them. I have the typical plastic water dispensers but the chickens all chose the glass over the plastic. Easy to clean. Only complaint I wish they made a larger one.

I bought this for Michigan weather and winter is very cold. So I bring this in at night! And give fresh water everyday . They need water and seed , feed the birds it’s a big help to our eco system!!!

peeling and jar rusting from the water

this would be great if whatever is painted with did not peel off in the water tray and around the jar itself looking like rusting. never had rust on a glass jar before, i guess from contact with the eroding metal. trying to scrub it all over but keeps peeling.

Bought mason jar bird waterer Instructions say remove base, fill with water and replace base. No instruction on how to remove the base! It is useless because I can’t get the base off! I tried twisting nothing?

It took a little while for the birds to find it, but after a couple weeks it’s very popular! I felt bad for panting birds in my Arizona yard, so I added this waterer. I’ve had nearly constant visits from finches and woodpeckers that really appreciate the water source!

Only thing I did not like was wish hook part could be bigger. Hard to hang on my pole so have to tape it to my deck and hope it does not get knocked down.

This will serve the smallest of wild birds like wrens & goldfinches. Larger wild birds like blue jays, doves, woodpeckers will go thirsty.
