Finally a scratching post to save my furniture

This is nice and heavy. The cats don't pull it over on them. It was easy to put together. They ignored it the first couple of days until I picked up a bag of catnip at the store and rubbed it all over the sisal. Since then both cats use it multiple times daily and have finally started leaving my furniture alone. I"ve had other scratching toys and a cat tree. I put this right at the corner of my couch they seemed to attack and they haven't touched the couch since.

Not as it appears

I had to put this together and the directions were not clear. Never did get that top piece on. The bottom is cardboard and flimsy. My 12 pound cat uses it some but it rocks when he stretches out on it. I would not recommend this product. Disappointed in Chewy for this one.
