I purchased the large crate for my 8 month old golden. I read all the reviews and decided to buy it based on the fact it was easy to break down, opened from the side (like a garage door), and not an ugly black crate. Not going to lie, when I pulled it out of the box it was heavy. Then I connected it I purchased the large crate for my 8 month old golden. Not going to lie, when I pulled it out of the box it was heavy. Then I connected it together (super easy) and absolutely hated it. The color was terrible, it seemed huge!, and all together an eye sore. However, my dog loved it. I think she enjoys the garage type door on the crate. A lot of the reviews said it wasn’t as sturdy as they would hope but it has exceeded my expectations on what sturdy is...my dog literally jumps on and off (yes, not in the crate...on) the crate like a goat and it has yet to break (see picture below). Despite it being terribly ugly, it’s a great crate! … more

My pup loves it!
By AndreaV on Dec 4, 2020
We bought this as a condo for our golden retriever pup to sleep in next to us upstairs (rather than in his crate downstairs). He loves it! He knows when he’s in there, it’s time to sleep. We love that the top can stay open - we found out he especially likes that (we closed it one time and he wouldn’t go to sleep). And it easily folds up for transport. My daughter takes our pup to her place sometimes and she just folds up this condo (we call it that) so he has a nice place to sleep at her apartment. Has a carrying bag to help with transport. Highly recommend it - and it costs much less on chewy than at other retailers selling the exact same product.

Has a Few Flaws, but Overall Favorable
By Shelly on Nov 5, 2020
I purchased the medium 'Other Door' crate to bring home a new Belgian Shepherd puppy. The wheels are a big plus, it's relatively light compared to all metal crates, and it was perfect for travel. It is not a super sturdy crate, and if you have a dog who is determined to get out, it's probably not your match. The light metal rattles, but was easy to fix with a bit of duct tape on the edges - worth the three doors and the maneuverability for my use. The mat that comes with it is, in my opinion, worthless. It slides in the car, ending up a chew toy for my young dog, and scaring him at times. It also sheds non-stop and the small pieces can be a hazard. The latches are tough, but you get used to them, and they are pretty secure for a good traveler. I LOVE the three doors, as I use this both in the car for safe containment and with the 'garage' door open for a 'place' in the house. We are now on a bigger size as my puppy outgrew the first crate. I would recommend it if you can get around the few character flaws. … more

great cage that my Yorkie has no problem going in and laying down. Just wish I could get exact cage a little bit smaller for her size. Sage color is really nice. I was a bit hesitant in going with sage but pleased when i actually received.

Glad I Chose It
By Diane on May 20, 2020
This is nice looking and easy to set up. Wanted the garage door style and it is working out well. The plush pad is very soft but not very padded. Bought a piece of foam meant for making a chair cushion from fabric store and cut to fit crate and with that under the plush pad pup is comfy!

True to quality

My pup will be 70 lbs. She grew out of her other medium crate at 4 months. So we bought the large. The medium, due to the straight sides probably would have been big enough. My husband and I both simultaneously got in side by side up to our hips in order to encourage our pup to enter. So she climbed in under us, making three in the kennel. If your dog likes the confined security of a kennel, build a cardboard box to determine what size is best for your pup. Our dog was spayed at 12 weeks by the shelter. It makes them grow taller and we needed the leg room. I suspect that the medium would have been ok because the floor is wider than most polymer crates. Broke just a little while after buying it. Maybe lasted a month.
