The only thing I would change about this is adding more compartments. But I got around this by ordering a $10 bag and some 2" carabiners and attaching to the straps to hang on one side, which blocks a side for his viewing. The one open pocket I store his retractable leash and the other has a back up harness just in case. He absolutely loves this thing though. He shoots out to go play after trips, but he goes back in on his own, flips between this and his couch bed at home, and this and "his" chair at work. Better than the hard carriers as I can slip the strap over my arm to grab my purse as well leaving my hand free to deal with opening/locking doors so the convenience to me is great. Even the cat has gone in there for a snooze. When they don't fight it and actually seam to enjoy it, that's a great feeling and a great product. My puppy is 13.5 lbs so far, I wouldn't recommend for anything more than 16, maybe 20 lbs at the most. I wouldn't recommend for a cat either, cats are crazy around mesh screens and this has mess screen viewing on all 4 sides plus the top. Top opening, front opening, we use the back and "unzip" how it goes together as a "larger door" if you will. Just a great item and can't express enough how functional it is. … more

At first I thought this car seat was great but 2 weeks after bringing puppy home she took notice of the velcro on the inside of each door. she was tugging and pulling the velcro and I can see this isn't going to last.

Exactly what I needed!
By CapeGal on May 12, 2022
My cat always needed two people to get her into a carrier for vet visits. Since my husband died, I have dreaded doing this on my own, so I ordered this lightweight carrier that allows her get into it in her own and see out on three sides. Since the carrier arrived, I have left the front unzipped and the carrier on the family room floor. My cat now has a new favorite spot for naps...inside her new carrier. In two months when we go to the vet, I will zip up the front flap, and off we go to the vet!

Greatest pet car seat
By ReginaT on May 1, 2022
My pet is 2 pounds and would easily have jumped out of an open container. I love this carrier. I use it as a car seat and night time bed. It is amazing.

Great purchase
By Nicole on May 1, 2022
Very well made. What I love about it, that I didn’t even realize when I bought it was, that the entire thing can be unzipped and folded flat for storage when not I use. I like that it has a strap in back that you can run the seatbelt through.

Good size/setup
By Cory on Apr 27, 2022
Size perfect. Setup easy. Only issue was one of my cats was terrified and clawing at the mesh very hard. Had to move her to old carrier or she was gonna tear it. Wish it was thicker material.

Handy Pet Carrier
By Billy on Apr 2, 2022
I recently needed a cat carrier to take a feral cat to the vet to be spayed. I wanted one with both a top and a side opening, in case one or the other worked better in getting the cat into it. This Pet Gear Carrier Bag worked very well. It was large enough for the cat, light weight, and unzips and folds into a small shape for easy storage. I'd recommend it.

My baby loves it
By DanielL on Mar 21, 2022
My baby was immediately interested in this carrier, she started sniffing it and then went inside and relaxed and took a little nap. Not once have I had to prompt her to get in. I catch her taking naps in it, like a little hideout. I give her treats and pet her to encourage her to use it more often. I’ll probably put a blanket or a shirt in it during our move cross-country so she has those pheromones to keep her comfy. Also love the storage AND the entire thing zips up and down so it’s easily collapsible.
