    Really happy with this product

By PoodleOwner on Feb 17, 2019

I got this ramp a month ago for my 12-year old, 60 lb. standard poodle b/c she's having problems jumping into an SUV. So far it's great. It is a bit narrow for a dog her size, but she figured it out in about 1 week of training with it flat on the ground. It doesn't bend or bounce when she walks on it I got this ramp a month ago for my 12-year old, 60 lb. standard poodle b/c she's having problems jumping into an SUV. So far it's great. It is a bit narrow for a dog her size, but she figured it out in about 1 week of training with it flat on the ground. It doesn't bend or bounce when she walks on it and the green surface really helps her get traction. It's not so heavy that I can't lift it in and out of the car, and it folds easily. The only negative is that the bottom part that rests on the ground is a bit slippery, especially on snow, so you may need to put a towel under it. Also, I wish it had a handle to make carrying easier. Let's hope it stands up to repeated use. … more

Not great for Ford Escape SUV - Probably better for a van, like in the picture.

This product is sturdy and well built. However, when I tried attaching it to the side rear door of my Ford Escape, the door frame is angled, so the ramp sat at an angle making it unstable and there was no way for it to attach making it unsafe. However, when I tried attaching it to the side rear door of my Ford Escape, the door frame is angled, so the ramp sat at an angle making it unstable and there was no way for it to attach making it unsafe. This part was partially my fault for not closely examining the doors before ordering it. But I had read other reviewers remarks singing it's praises on an SUV. Also the door pocket covered half the ramp making it very ill-suited for this SUV. It may have worked for the trunk, but our dogs get buckled in the back seat where we also have the safety hammock for them. We tried putting it by the couch and bed for training them to use it, but it's not too wide, so it was frightening for any one of my 3 dogs to use it, including my small 20 lb dog that regularly uses stairs to get on the bed. … more

    Ramp usefulness

    By on

The ramp is a well built ramp. However, the usefulness with different vehicles is crap. It shows being used with a minivan. Not everyone has a minivan. It also shows loading pets in the back of an SUV. Not everyone leads their pets in the back. Therefore I mad a purchase of this item and it is useless because the pets are loaded in the back seat of a Toyota suv where the side doors do not open at a 90 degree angle to the vehicle. The ramp goes under the door due to the door frame at the back of the door. Will not buy another without better functionality and more research.

    failed device

    By on

It is designed to be used on the side or the rear of the vehicle. If I put in at the back of my Toyota 4runner, the slope is impossibly steep for any med.or lg.sized dog. On the side, the door does not clear it. Both positions are not stable & the ramp waggles even with the tether . Sorry I bought it.

    disappointed

This product does not work at all for my dogs. I had to anchor it to the back of my CR-V and it was too narrow for my dogs, a collie and newfie puppy.I used all kinds of treats to entice them to go up but they never would do it. I no success with it whatever.
