    Perfect ramp for my needs

By Beth on Mar 14, 2021

I got this ramp for my aging GSD who could no longer jump into my smaller Nissan SUV. She is use to the wooden ramp we have over the steps in the yard, however she refused to use this one at first. I took it inside and laid it on the floor where she HAD to walk on it. After a bit she got used to the feel of the astroturf-type non-slip surface. She has had several appointments for therapy for her hips over the past couple of weeks, and while she is still a little skittish going up (I lightly hold her backend and guide her so she doesn't fall), coming down is a breeze. The more she uses it, the easier it is for her. The set up isn't bad once you get use to it. The length is perfect for the angle I wanted. Only 2 drawbacks: it's a little heavy and takes up almost half of my cargo area, BUT it's a large ramp, so if you expect it to be light and small you'll be disappointed. … more

Sturdy ramp, but a bit heavy

By rockyroad on Apr 10, 2021

We bought this tri-fold ramp for our new Golden Retriever puppy. (Our trainer recommended using a ramp to avoid joint problems in the the future.) We had a telescoping ramp for our last GR when she was elderly and couldn't jump up/down safely. This ramp is sturdier, easy to clean, good traction and stores more compactly. The only downside is the weight @ 27lbs and it is slightly cumbersome to fold.

    Got a Grip

By Fiona on Mar 27, 2021

Perfect grip for picky paws! My 32 pound low-rider PBGV FINALLY found this ramp acceptable which makes outdoor steps accessible. She found other ramps too slick but once this ramp was in position, she gravitated towards it immediately and used it flawlessly. I’m pretty sure she has been smiling ever since. I know I have:)

    works for us

By Kvinde on Mar 19, 2021

It is bigger and bulkier than I thought it would be, but in order to hold up to a big dog it probably has to be. While it took some convincing to get my dog to use it, it makes it much easier to get him in and out of the vehicle. He loves to go on car rides, but whines when he has to jump in or out. Now he can get in and out without us having to lift up the back end of him when his hips are acting up.

    Up Up and Away

By MrGolden on Mar 11, 2021

Out 8 1/2 year old Golden Retriever has been having difficulty getting into our SUV and up on our bed for "morning coffee." The ramp has made all the difference. Although a bit cumbersome to set up, once in place it only took a few tries before he caught on to the idea and was using it like a practiced pro! The construction is sturdy and it does not wobble. It even stays steady when leaning on a corner of our bed. Good purchase.

Good if you are very strong

By Dini on Mar 27, 2021

I'm pretty fit, 5' 6" tall woman, but find this really difficult to open and position and shut and put back in the care. I can do it though, and do do it, because it seems to work well for you 55 lb dog; however it takes extra motivation.

    Great ramp!

By Hershey on Feb 23, 2021

Our 9 year old lab had TPLO surgery, and this ramp has been wonderful to use over stairs, and to get her into my SUV to go for her check-ups! It will be good for use in getting her into my husband's truck also. The rubberized carpet pieces are attached with velcro and can be removed for washing if necessary. It folds up and has a carry handle for easy transport.

Good item but a bit bulky

By Boxerguy on Feb 9, 2021

Sturdy construction and sits firmly on top of our vehicles' bumpers. It has never shifted during use. The removable tracks makes cleaning easy and provides great traction. My Boxer used it immediately; she had never used one prior to this. It is heavy and bulky though and takes up a lot of room in our Toyota Rav4 and Toyota Venza. As with every order we have placed with Chewey the delivery was super fast.

    Great Ramp!

By VETREP on Jan 9, 2021

We bought this ramp a couple months ago for our 3-year old, 100lb Newfie (Izzie)--who has hip dysplasia. We bought the bi-fold model (42" x 16") previously to help her get into our van,; but, although the length was suitable (not too steep an angle), it was too narrow for our big pup--and she had trouble staying on it. So, we bought the wider (by 3.5") trifold model. It's worked out well. And the extra length softens the angle a bit more. To help get her used to it, we laid it down (extended) in front of our laundry room--where her bed is located--for a few days before trying it out with the van. It worked very well. The only downside is that it's necessarily a lot bulkier than the We bought this ramp a couple months ago for our 3-year old, 100lb Newfie (Izzie)--who has hip dysplasia. And the SuperTrax surface material provides excellent footing for our baby girl. We're very pleased and would recommend! … more

    Very Sturdy Ramp

    By TerrierMom on Feb 12, 2021 top500Contributor

This is a good ramp and it’s VERY sturdy! I ordered this to be able to load and unload my young Cane Corso in and out of my SUV so that she does not harm her growing joints. It is extremely sturdy and she had no fear of using it because of that fact. The only downside is that it is very large and bulky to bring around.
