Violet is a rottie who ate so fast she would throw up after eating. This bowl slowed her down because her nose does not fit well between the fins and the sides of the bowl.
I definitely recommended this bowl for anyone looking to slow down their hungry cat! My cat eats food like it's his job and then steals the other cats' food. This bowl slowed him down enough that the other cats could finish eating and didn't frustrate him to eat out of.
I bought this bowl for my kitten to use because she was eating way too fast, and it has definitely worked on slowing her down! While it is too big for her right now, there is a lower part of the glass that she can easily eat over! She will definitely grow into it as well and have even more fun eating :)
This did slow our fast eater down for about two days until he figured out how it worked. Then he would wolf down his food before biting the fins and pulling the silicon OUT of the bowl. Also, he chewed on the fins in protest of his vet-mandated diet, which led to the fins actually cracking. I’m getting rid of it because it’s not safe anymore. If your cat doesn’t like to bite everything, you might have better luck than we did!
We have a cat that scarfs down his food & then throws it up. This has helped to slow him down.
First off this bowl works very well for slowing fast eaters down. However, the inside is not secured to the bottom which makes it messy. And the materiel used is easily bitten off. Had to get rid of this because I was afraid it was a choking hazard.
