I just don't like it
There's nothing physically wrong w/the bowl. I just don't like the way the water sits in it for the cats to drink out of. I could take the gray part out however it wouldn't make me like the bowl anymore, cuz then it'd b too deep. The cats would drown while trying to get a drink or it'd stay empty cuz I'd not b able to put much in it. For now, I fill it more than I should. I ordered another type of water dish when I ordered this 1, that I really like & will order another w/the next auto ship. I'll use it for an extra food dish if I need 1. I'm not returning it. It's not Chewy's fault that I don't like it!
My cat likes it
This works well for my cat. He enjoys pulling water bowls around, splashing, and spilling water everywhere. He hasn't managed to tip this over or spill more than a couple spoonfuls of water since I switched to this bowl. The floating splash guard did get stuck once due to him trying to pull it out, and I had to use a chopstick to pull it out, but that was easy enough.
Pet food and water bowls
These bowls are very sturdy but my dog is chewing up the plastic edges of the bowls.
Difficult to Use and Clean
While my dog liked this bowl (even though I bought it for my cat), the construction is cheap, the plastic has sharp edges, and it is not easy to get everything clean and functioning properly. It's just clunky.
Great dish
Excellent dish for preventing water on the floor. Highly recommend.

My cat can't spill this bowl but the top splash guard comes off and is not tight so my cat can take off.
It is a little small
I got this for my still growing 5 month old puppy who now weighs 37 lbs and who revels in digging in the house water fountain. He still pokes his nose and paw in this bowl but the volume of water spilled is less than when he does this to our fountain. It is a little smaller than I envisioned and the float thing gets wedged and stuck in the bowl. He hasn't tried to turn it over and he doesn't seem to like drinking out of it when he is in his pen.
Perfect for rambunctious cats
When my two cats get the zoomies, they knock over their their non-slip food bowls (which sit on a non-slip mat), and they *used* to knock over their non-slip water dish too. But since I bought this Hydrain bowl, not a single drop of water has spilled on the floor. The cats can push even this bowl around a little, but it never overturns; and the inward-hanging lip and floating insert keep all the water safely inside. I'm thrilled to finally have found a water bowl that my cats can't spill!
Great item
I know it’s just a bowl so how great can it be but both my dog and cat use it, has yet to be flipped over on the floor like a regular bowl, and zero splash. Perfect for what I needed.
Non-Splash, Toss Your Water Bowl
I bought this because I thought it would deter my puppies from paddling and splashing away in their water bowl. The bowl worked at first when they saw there wasn’t much water to play with. Then they discovered they could just pick up the bowl and dump the water out. Recommended for the more civilized feline.
