I have 2 nine month-old kittens that sometimes have a hard time settling down at night before bed, even when I play with them for an hour or more. These treats seem to help calm them for a few hours but the kittens won't eat them on their own so I hide the treats in their wet food in the evening hours. I give each kitten half of one since there's only 30 treats per bag and if I give them a whole treat each every night that's almost 2 weeks worth of treats. I wish there were more treats per bag and I may try something else but they work for my kittens at least.
These treats seem to work well on one of my very active kittens. He loves them! His brother isn’t quite as big of a fan, but he’s usually more chill anyway and he’s not as food focused. It’s possible the effects are in my head, but I’ve used them sparingly on a few occasions, and every time he seems to relax a bit and lounge around more. One thing to note is the bag does point out some cats may need more than one treat, so give that a try if yours haven’t worked in the past!
These treats do seem to have an effect on our cats; they seem a little dopey a short time after being given one. However, it does not seem to prevent them from stressing out on being taken in the car, even when not going to the vet. We will continue to use the treats as they do seem to have somewhat of a calming influence on our two.
These treats seemed like a good idea to help several of my cats with issues. I run a small cat shelter. I am not a crazy cat person , Just noting that. However they are hard as rocks. They smell like vitamins. And out of 5 indoor cats only 2 will eat them if I cut them up and coax them.
Just took long car trip and they worked great. She ate it right away, so it must have tasted good. Just the right amount to keep her calm but not sleep
My vet gave me an expensive cream for my poor kitty, who has been licking the skin off her tummy for years, but she just licked the medicated cream off. In desperation,I tried these chews and the homeopathic anti-itch drops, also from Chewy, and my kitty is much happier - licking much , much less! I recommend.
This isn't working to calm my cat, but honestly even drugs didn't work all the time. I think he has some sort of ptsd
got this in hopes that it would help with nail trimming. don't know bout that yet but it seems to be helping with the anxiety that comes with a stray adopting us
Need to come up with effective calming cat products since introduced a new rescue. Excited to try but not one of the 7 will eat! :(
Two of our three cats love these. Naturally, the nervous one won't touch them, so I don't know how effective they are for calming. Fortunately the same company makes a hairball treat that must have the same flavor, so we switched to that. Now the two cats who like the flavor get those every morning. Consequently they do not have hairballs. Life with cats.
