after giving this medicine for 2 to 4 days how often do you give them from then on? my kitty gets hairballs bad. he throws up multiple times a day. we have been trying multiple products and is just not working.
Answer by ChewyOct 19, 2018
It's recommended to give 4 chews twice daily for 2 - 4 days or until results occur. It's not recommended to give daily if it's not needed.

Are these hard tablets or soft chews? My older cat has few teeth, hard to chew hard kibble and treats
Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2018
These hairball cat chews are soft chews.

Is there a lot of sodium in this? Is it healthy for a senior cat?
Answer by ChewyDec 10, 2019
This product does not include any added salt. The sodium alginate is a thickening agent derived from brown algae or seaweed. These chews are suitable for cats of all ages.

New to owning a cat. Are these preventative or should I only give to a cat that has hairball problems?
Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2017
These chews should be given if your cat is experiencing hairballs. Just give 4 chews twice daily for 2-4 days or until results occur.

Cats love it

Works wonders after 3 treats 2 days in a row to 1 1/2 for 4 days to 1 a day for the last couple months and no hairball pukes!! We see it in their poop every couple days even! Just wish Chewy didn’t pack my last order in with the cat litter!! I have 2 bags of crumbs that I have to try to measure out! Half is wasted because it’s like sand and the cats only eat chunks! Highly recommend but buy it somewhere else

A belly full of fur

Our Tonkinese-Siamese rescue loves to be groomed. We were surprised when he vomited water. Test results indicated he had fur in his stomach. Our vet, Dr. Michael Wood, was able to remedy the cat's condition. This product has helped our cat maintain his health and we are very grateful.

My senior cats seemed interested in the taste of these as they tried to eat these. However these supplements are too hard for them to eat and so my cats spit them out.

Seems to be working!

This us my first experience with this product but it seems to be solving the hairball problem, she loves it, and she has no allergic reaction to it yet.

I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad product, but my Lily does not like them. Once again I have wasted my money.

Disappointed!

I am sorry to report that my cat doesn't like the Hairball Cat Chews. She ate only the first two I gave her, and the next two days, would not eat them.

My Cat likes them

I bought these to help my Cat with fur ball elimination. I just follow the directions and it seems to be working ! Just two a day does the trick and my Cat likes them.

My cats refuse to eat these... I'm disappointed because they have long-ish hair... guess I'll continue cleaning up hairballs! 😅

These work!

My long-haired cat was consistently throwing up hairballs + whatever she ate no matter how much I brush her. These fiber treats work because she likes them & they help move the hair out the other end.

Something changed

For the past two and a half years two of our three cats have loved having these hairball chews as a daily treat and consequently they have not had hairballs. The chews in the most recent bag, however, are lighter in color and look dry. The cats don't want them and now they are getting hairballs. Is this a bad batch or a change in formula?
