  • Extra Strength Dog Chews

We like that these have glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM. They are not hard to get our dog to eat, she just chews them up before she eats her meal. She's only been on them for a short time, the reason I'm only giving four stars, but I'm thinking they will do the job well long term.

  • Not Exactly a Chew

    By on

While the supplement levels are very good which is what drew me to this in the first place, these are a little too hard to be considered a "chew" in my opinion. I do grind them to a powder and sprinkle them on my dogs food and moisten with salmon oil.

  • These chews work well for me!

    By on

I am a 15 year-old female Aussie Shepard mix rescue. My mommy gives me a chew every day. I can still go on a walk around the soccer fields with my younger brother and keep up. Thank you Pet Naturals of Vermont (and mommy for buying it.)

  • I'm literally seeing results after 1 week.

    By on

My dog is a 75 pound Belgian Tervuren. Like German Shepherds, they're prone to hip and joint issues (though not as bad as GSDs) and he's around 5 years old now and I noticed him slowing down. I decided to dig in and find the best ingredients (at the best price point) and came across these. I've given him 2 per day for a week and he's already getting up easier. :)

  • So glad the extra strength is back!

    By on

I have been using these for my lab mix for 6 years. He had ACL surgery about 4 years ago and we are keeping an eye on his hip displaysia but even the vet told me how much these are helping my big guy. He runs and plays like a puppy. I hope they never change these.

  • So Far, So Good

    By on

Well so far, he's only had a couple days worth, but they seem to be helping! Our pup had hip dysplasia and it really bothers him when he plays hard! He's right on the border of 2 or 3 pills and I think on harder play days he needs 3 for sure!!! But is doing great daily with 2!

  • Chandler loves them

    By on

Chandler is a 9 year old very large collie. He just recently within be the last year started showing me he was having trouble getting up and walking with a noticable limp. The pet naturals hip and joint extra strength chewables have made a big difference, he gets them first thing in the morning and they last the entire day.

  • Great supplement-- if you can get your dog to eat it.

This is a great supplement; higher concentrations of ingredients than what they sell at my vet's office for a third of the price. The tablets are big (almost the size of my thumb), and my little senior boy needs half of one. The bottle says they're liver flavored, but...I can't get my dog to eat these. Not wrapped up in cheese, not hidden in his tripe...nothing. I actually take a rubber mallet, smash his half dose, and sprinkle it on his breakfast. It's an extra step, but I think it's worth it. A more food-driven dog, or a bigger dog (who might not notice this giant pill in his kibble), may be an easier patient. Four stars because I didn't think I'd need a rubber mallet included in my dog's This is a great supplement; higher concentrations of ingredients than what they sell at my vet's office for a third of the price.
