Had to modify.
By Wrap on Jan 5, 2021
I purchased these for my older boys, who sometimes have accidents at night. I ordered the XL. In doing this I assumed they would fit both of them. I have a lab mix and a Shepherd mix. It does fit the lab mix he is around 50 lbs. On the other hand my shepherd is a bit over 100lbs. With the way these are made I was able to modify a couple of them to fit him with fabric. I did measure before ordering. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I had to modify a couple of them. They do stay in place so I am very satisfied with this product.

Work very well. One suggestion though
By CorbinCutie on Jan 8, 2021
I really do like these belly bands. They hold in the urine well and don’t seem to bother my dog. He is older, blind, and diabetic. He sometimes has accidents overnight. I wanted something that would be comfortable and secure and hold his urine if he went while I was sleeping. Since he is blind, he often doesn’t find me to ask to be let out. Since he is diabetic, he has quite a bit of urine when he goes. He is a Jack Russell mix. Not a large dog but apparently a large bladder. The only suggestion/complaint that I have is that the Velcro will occasionally catch on his bed and remove the band. It has only happened twice but that could result in a damp carpet in the morning. Luckily that has not I really do like these belly bands. They hold in the urine well and don’t seem to bother my dog. He is older, blind, and diabetic. He sometimes has accidents overnight. Luckily that has not happened yet. I would much rather have it catch occasionally on the bed than have the rough side towards his skin, so I understand why they are built the way they are. I have remedied the situation by placing a piece of cloth over the exposed Velcro. Great product, small issue so they get the 5 stars. Thank you. … more

Beware of Velcro
By Underpant on Jan 7, 2021
Usually I use “Velcro-Dog” as a term of endearment when describing my sweet (and occasionally incontinent) shelter mix, Louis. Today, I had just received his Chewy undergarment, applied it satisfactorily and later, left the house for a run. Imagine my surprise when I found the poor dog Velcroed to our basement steps after having returned! See pics. It looks like the perfect combination of exposed sticky-side Velcro, thick carpet and short pup. Who knows how long he could have languished there! Please beware! For those still interested, I would def size up so the wrap of the fabric covers all of the Velcro so you don’t have a dog inadvertently immobilized! EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!
By LorettaK on Jan 15, 2021
We have 2 male rescue dogs with various urinary issues and have used these for a few years. Some have been machine laundered a couple hundred times and still appear like new. If your dog has kidney issues or pees a lot or you are not home for an extended time I do suggest using an "overnight" Kotex menstrual pad for extra absorbency and to keep wetness away from your dog's tender skin. Definitely the very best of all the wraps we have used over the years.

These Bands Are A Lifesaver!
By NoelsMom on Dec 21, 2020
A year ago my daughter moved back in with me, bringing 2 small male house dogs that constantly lifted their legs on everything, and I mean everything! All of the furniture, walls, door frames, toys, their own sleeping crate, and even one of my female dogs while she was sleeping, just to name a few. They are able to spend hours playing outside during the day and evening and would still mark the moment they came inside or sneak around to do it. These bands have saved my sanity! Neither one seems to mind them in the least and they no longer feel the urge to lift their legs in the house at all. The bands are well made and nicely padded for moisture, but I do put a thin throwaway pad in the band A year ago my daughter moved back in with me, bringing 2 small male house dogs that constantly lifted their legs on everything, and I mean everything! One boy is a min. doxy and the other is a small terrier, both about 14 lbs. I ordered two mediums, which fit the terrier just fine but slides back a tiny bit on the doxy but is easy enough to adjust back up when needed and I haven't seen any rubbing or chaffing at all, not even when they play hard. I should have done this a year ago! … more

Runs small
By Seniordog on Jan 2, 2021
Check the measurements for your dog carefully. We needed to seam-rip the velcro from them and sew them on in a different configuration to fit around our dog's belly who was wearing size medium disposable bands easily without an issue. If I didn't have a good sewing machine I don't think it would have been easy to fix and would have exchanged for larger, but suspect larger would have been too wide as well as longer. After sewing the velcro on to give a better fit, they worked well and glad to have them.

Be careful with sizing
By Erincfc on Dec 20, 2020
I adopted an 8 year old male Rhodesian Ridgeback in August and quickly found out he had an incontinence issue. Turning to Chewy for help I found these belly bands. He also has a weight problem but we are working on that. I measured him and found the XLarge waist girth of 34" should be appropriate (his is 31-1/2 to 32"). Well, the 34" is the measurement of the belly band *not* what could fit his waist. We can barely make ends meet and I would imagine one of two things happening - since there isn't much overlap I think he would be able to get this off very easily or it is so tight he will be so uncomfortable that he will hate wearing them. Excellent Product
By Cosmo on Jan 17, 2021
Our dog had a ruptured disc in his back. After surgery he did not have control of his bladder. We purchased these Belly Bands to use while he recovered. I was very impressed with the quality of this item. The Velcro was extremely good. They did not ever leak. I purchased 2 - 3 packs to change as we washed the others. This item was a lifesaver.

These have been great!
By PetmommaRVT on Jan 10, 2021
8 year old Vizsla about 53 pounds ordered a large. Prostate issue and after surgery he started leaking urine. First purchased the pet store disposable diapers and they were not fun. Velcro did not stay on correctly. These Chewy belly bands work so much better. Strong Velcro, stays in place, look much nicer on him, holds a lot of urine and easy to wash and reuse.

Prevents doggie accidents
By DogMama3 on Dec 28, 2020
We bought this for our 9 month old male imperial shih tzu who hikes his leg whenever and wherever in the house. We sized up to a medium and these fit him very good. He only weighs 8 pounds. The belly bands are easy to put on our dog and easy to wash and reuse. They seem to be made of good quality material. I’ve washed ours about 3 times and they are holding up well. I’d recommend these to a friend as these were recommended to us by another friend.
