Different Difficulty Levels
Forager Bowls and Mats offer different difficulty styles and sizes. The Meadow Ponds style is easiest, with colors that make food easy to see and meadows of shorter SoftSnout material to catch more food. The Meadow Natural style is intermediate, with colors that hide food better to mimic an outdoor foraging experience. For the most difficulty, choose the Forest style with no meadows or easy colors. The 12” x 18” mat is easy, while the 19” x 21” mat spreads the food out for a challenge.

Great snuffle mat for a senior dog!
I purchased this snuffle mat in the brown/green color scheme for my senior dog. I didn't think she'd like it very much since she generally doesn't enjoy working for her food, but she loves this mat! I tuck dehydrated treats like lung, liver, and tripe the mat and she usually gets through it in five minutes or less. The fact that the mat is machine washable is a big plus.
A bit of a challenge
Searching for every last kibble takes a few minutes instead of a 30 second race to clean a maze bowl. My Miniature Schnauzers occasionally miss one kibble but this bowl helps them take more time to finish a meal. Don't know that they chew each kibble or inhale them but....it's more time required. It seems like it helps. And they haven't taken to chewing up the bowls.
Hmmm - just OK
This is high quality - my puppy liked it the first meal - but did not really care afterwards - maybe he is not old enough. He is also more of a chewer right now, so this is just not his style right now. I will try it again in a few weeks - he is only 3 months. He does love to pull it around, so I have not given up on it.
LOVE THIS BOWL
So I am writing this review because there aren't many reviews for cats. Everyone raved about this product but most people had dogs. Only a handful of reviews included cats but i thought I would try it. I have 3 cats, one who eats really fast and he would then go eat the other two's bowls. This has caused him to put on weight. Well let me say, this bowl is FANTASTIC!! It has slowed him down tremendously. I think he actually enjoys hunting and foraging for his food lol. And my other two babies can eat in peace. I haven't tried washing it yet but I love that it can be thrown in the washer. So I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product!! Thank you so much to whoever created such a creative and effective way to feed your fur babies. I may even have to buy another one because I think one of my babies is jealous lol.
Game Changer
My Aussie pup gets every meal in this mat now. In regular bowls, he inhales his food so fast that it makes him sick and will immediately run outside to throw it up. Now he literally jumps for joy when I fill up his mat. Meal time went from 15 seconds to about 5 minutes. And no more puking!

If you are looking for an outstanding bowl to feed your loved one from, look no further! This snuffle mat is amazing! It helps our pup eat slower, great because its secured so it has minimal mess and I love that it has draw string attached so that you can adjust the bowl size! One of the fav things about this bowl is that it is machine washable so you never get a musky smell from the dog food! So easy and convenient for travel as well!
A Unique Mat.
The design is so simple. Don't worry about stepping on it. It's soft and squishy. My fur baby is an over eater. It breaks my heart to hear him cry because I have to portion his food. He would basically inhale one cup of dry food before I could sit down to eat my meal. I was skeptical because he's like a vacuum. Immediately he went to town on the mat. Breakfast and dinner is no longer a heart wrenching activity. I can eat in peace while my silly chunk is face deep hunting for his food. I like that when he's bored he'll go to his new bowl and sniff around for food. The draw string makes it really easy to pick up w/out dumping crumbs all over the floor. This is extremely useful since I live in a very small space. It's a great price. A really great gift idea for any pet owner.
Great Product, No Problems
Sherman used to wolf his food down so fast he made himself vomit without even tasting it (until it came back up) Now he has the time to taste his food and his digestion is normal. Without the Forager Snuffle Mat & Slow Feeder Dog Bowl I would be hand feeding him his kibble one little piece at a time.
Surprisingly helpful
I have been buying things for my blind dog to amuse and occupy her when she gets bored. This mat works great for holding treats and/or kibble, which is why I got it. In general, it's a fantastic product.
