Pet Standard Premium Charcoal Filters for PetSafe Drinkwell Fountains provide clean, fresh water to your pet. Water is drawn through the charcoal filter, which is segmented into six compartments to facilitate filtration and reduce the settling of the charcoal within the filter. The duo-density pad on each filter captures fur and debris, and the charcoal removes odors and eliminates bad taste. These filters are 100% compatible with PetSafe Drinkwell fountains.

Thoroughly rinse out filter with running water before inserting in to the fountain. Although completely harmless, doing this will cleanse the filter of any charcoal dust that may have become loose.
Insert the filter in to your pet fountain. The flow of water should enter through the polyester side and out of the charcoal side which is dark in color. Filter positions will vary by the model of the fountain. The user guide included with your fountain will give specific instructions depending on the model of your fountain.
It is recommended the filter be replaced every 2 to 4 week and more frequently if multiple pets are using the fountain.

very thin and flimsy

i use the platinum drinkwell fountain for my fourleggers. i have always purchased the drinkwell filters for it. unfortunately, the covid rush took out the brand i wanted so i bought these instead. i dont usually need to change the filter more than every 2 weeks but with these thin, flimsy filters i had to change more often. they are also a shade smaller in size so they wiggle in the place where they are used in the fountain. a lot of water gets by these things. i am glad i have used up this pack and already purchased the drinkwell filters. the difference is astounding when you compare side by side. if i could post a picture that captures the difference i would, but....

Dogs won't drink unfiltered water Now!

I have a puggle and a brussels griffon. The puggle will eat Anything and used to drink plain tap water. Since I started using the Petsafe drinkwell, with these filters, she will not drink non filtered tap water! Great product!
