    Pretty good

By Puppylove on Sep 1, 2021

It works ok but you cannot get the previous reading as it says you can. At least when I try to pull it up, it shows "Lo" and will not give me another number for comparison. Also it is a little harder to get the covers on the tip without ripping them. Be very gentle.

    Fast and Accurate Temp Reading

By Puggle on Apr 4, 2021

My older dog had been running fevers for several months off and on. I didn't want to give him vet recommended prescription unless I was sure about the level of his fever. This thermometer got him through a rough time. Very accurate only a couple of seconds and it reads the temperature. So much better than a rector one.

    Doesn't Work.

By BernersofSalem on Apr 8, 2021

I was so excited to order a non-rectal thermometer to keep tabs on my dogs and cat, but this product doesn't work. No matter how many times I tried or different angles I attempted, it kept giving me error messages.

    Waste of money

By Brian on Jan 12, 2021

The battery died in under a month and it cannot be replaced unless you send it to the manufacturer. Who thought this was a good idea?

I bought this for my cat because it is extremely difficult to take their temps. My cat allowed me to use this with no upset to him. Terrific product.

    Arrived Not Working

    By renmer85 on Jul 1, 2020

Sadly, when I opened the box to use it for the first time, the screen was blank and no matter how many times/ how long I held the button, it was non responsive. I was told by the company that they're recalibrated before they're shipped out so they were surprised it arrived to me nonfunctioning. Needless to say, I'm supposed to be getting a new one direct from the company, I just don't know when it will arrive; it's already been a couple weeks. My review is based on the potential of the next one actually working.

    very disappointed

By Springs on Jul 25, 2020

very disappointed, I can't even get the unit to register the same temperature on the same animal checking just minutes apart. and I mean off by several degrees. I tried checking 3 times and going for an average but that doesn't help when I know I have a sick kitten I need a dependable unit, this one sure isn't. Also when I first received the unit it already had a cover sleeve on the ear piece and the was a temperature recorded in the Memory almost like it had been "tested before". I was expecting a unit that would work so I wouldn't have to keep using rectal thermometers especially on the kittens

    Works great, no complaints

By MelP on Jun 10, 2020

I ordered this for my peace of mind for when my FIV+ kitty doesn't feel well. Simple to operate. I checked my own temperature for accuracy first and it gave me 98.6. My cat doesn't seem to mind it at all and it only takes a second or two to get a reading. They say that the "old fashioned way" is a bit more accurate but I think your pet (cats especially) would tolerate this much better!

    Product works

By Carla on Jun 20, 2020

Used the thermometer and it worked. I would recommend this product especially if you senior pets to check their temperature if they look like they feel bad.

    Recommendation by a veterinary technician

By NATRVT on Feb 12, 2020

This is the pet owner version of the Vet-Temp thermometer used in veterinary clinics. If you have multiple pets, or pets with chronic illness like an upper respiratory virus, you'll be glad to have this around. For example, I have a cat with calicivirus who recently spiked a fever of 106. I knew he didn't feel well, but I couldn't have guessed his fever was that bad. A rectal temp is the standard for getting an accurate reading, but not all animals will tolerate that. This can be just as accurate although it does take a little practice because the lens needs to point at the ear drum. If it doesn't point at the ear drum, you'll get a lower reading. You do need to use the lens covers to prevent This is the pet owner version of the Vet-Temp thermometer used in veterinary clinics.
