Are there replacement canaries available?
Answer by ChewyDec 17, 2017
At this time replacement canaries are not available.

I can NOT get the BOTTOM TO unscrew...is it TO ENTIRE bottom? None is MOVING?
Answer by ChewySep 27, 2020
To access the battery compartment, separate the base from the cage by twisting the base counter clockwise away from the cage.

Is there a trick to making it move and chip? I put the batteries in and pushed the black button on the bottom, but it doesn’t work. My kitten loves hitting the bird but I want it to move and chirp.
Answer by ChewyDec 27, 2019
Once new batteries are inserted correctly and the ON button is press the "chirping" will sound. The bird is moved by the cat.

Will this this toy, work as well on carpeted flooring as on smooth floorings?
Answer by ChewyJul 29, 2022
This will work on carpet.

Not suitable for those with arthritic hands

I have been completely unable to open this to insert the batteries. It has some vague instructions, but try as I might, my arthritic hands cannot open it. I will have to wait for someone to come over to help me with it. It should come with a "childproof cap" warning!

Cat uninterested

My cat is so entertained by bugs and birds, i thought he would live this. I opened it and started it and hes not even phased. Wont go near it!

Two years later

The cats loved this before the batteries. Our four yr old cat died after getting sick, so today for our new kitty I put batteries in this. The base did not turn as it should have but with a flat head screwdriver I was able to gently pry the base off and add batteries, wow this thing is very cool! The canary inside makes a chirping sound and wiggles from an electromagnetic base.

5 wk old kitten approved

Bout this for our rescue kitten to practice predatory skills. It's a hit! The bird moves about, there's a light bird sound that plays for 10 minutes then shuts off automatically. Just need 2 AA batteries for the fun to begin!

My cat loved it but see below

She loved it so much that she ate the feathers off the tail. I believe she swallowed the feathers. I don't remember the exact day, but she seems fine. I believe she was trying to throw it up, but couldn't. I did hide the toy for now. Sorry I really like the toy that's why I purchased it. Thank you

A hit with all 3 cats

We have 3 cats and this is the first toy that they ALL have chosen as their favorite! They love it whether it's on or off!

HUGE RIPOFF!

This is sooo poorly designed it is a waste of money, ($20) nothing but frustration trying to get it to work, as there are NO instructions! No on and off switch, must dis-assemble, and remove batteries, to stop toy from running! Otherwise the BASE keeps moving alone, for the entire 10 minutes. Very disappointing.CUTE at first..but incomplete! Cat gave it a minute, then walked away. Too bad, cuz the IDEA was great, but almost seems like it was marketed BEFORE it was ready.

Poor quality

Doesn’t work. I know chewy would happily replace; but for $20 am just ordering another one and hope for the best. Kitty was interested in it even without it working.

Do not buy this

This you worked for an entire 5 minutes before it stopped working. I was super excited about this toy and it was a huge waste of $20

this is actually a fun toy

I have 2 cats. The 2 yr old can take it or leave it, but the feral ( age 5) who has been acclimated to the indoors loves this . he plays with it regardless if i turn it on . The bird chirps and wiggles in the cage just enough to keep PIP interested in it. I didn't find the bottom hard to remove for the batteries at all.
