    Sure it isn’t a gorgeous addition to any space but it works great for my dog. I have a taller lab mix and this makes eating easier and i think more comfortable for him. It isn’t rock solid sturdy but it is holding up to Him just fine.     I purchased this for my 14 1/2 yr old standard poodle with arthritis in his neck and back, and weak rear quarters. I'd like to note that raised bowls are tied to an increase in bloat in large breed dogs, so I will not be using this for my other poodles. The pro is it does allow him to stand upright and makes eating more comfortable for him. The con is, it tips over easily. After spilling two full bowls of water the first day, I'm only using the food bowl. The bowls are light weight stainless, and the stand itself is medium thick plastic. This is a "you get what you pay for" situation. I am attaching the stand to a heavy piece of wood to make it more stable. For my elderly guy, we can get by with this stand. If I were planning on using it for a long term situation, I'd pay more for a better quality product. … more
