So I’m starting this review because i have too lol you’ll understand why: keep reading at your will lol. sooo I’m not really a fan of doing reviews but for what it’s worth I am so in love with this product. I’m sad that it didn’t last more than two days only because I have a terrier, and somehow she found a way to crack it open. But before it was cracked open all day before she got to it, she was getting all her favorite snacks and I KNOW she really loved it. About three years ago she lost her companion pixie and I noticed that she went through somewhat of a depression stage although not too long after I got three cats as kittens and she warmed up to them really quick and played mom but her personality has never really been the same and getting another dog to train and all that it’s just not the work I can put in right now so she’s usually just laying down or some thing but this toy had her up all day until it cracked. I WILL BUY AGAIN!
Great toy for my dachshund! Make sure you use small or treats or kibble; it won’t efficiently get drop out of the toy if you don’t. My only complaint is that one half of the toy has the plastic split into two and it can make it difficult to screw the ball back together. Not sure what the purpose in that was but it needs to be fixed. Other than that it keeps my pup busy!
The top half of the ball is split down the middle instead of being in one piece like the other half. My dog loves this toy, but with this change in design, he destroyed it on the first use. I'd get another if the design was two halves that screw together instead of two halves with one of the halves split down the middle. It wasn't a crack. It was designed that way. The change was not a good idea.
Great if you have a more gentle curious dog, filled with kibbles it kept my younger dog occupied for long stretches, but my older dog is a little more aggressive with toys and he managed to chomp on it until it popped open to get to the kibbles and chewed on the ball and the interior pieces a bit. Would recommend if you don't have a little chomp monster!
I bought this in February 2022, so I can’t comment about the new model but will talk about the old one. This is my dog’s favorite toy! He doesn’t really play with toys much—he usually gets tired of them—but this is one he’ll play with until he’s tired! At first I put treats in it, but then I noticed he didn’t even care about them. He just wanted to roll it and chase it around! It has survived tumbling down a flight of stairs and being rolled on concrete. I highly recommend this ball if your dog likes chasing things. I have a corgi, so it’s possible that he enjoys herding it!
Terrible. Hard plastic. Dog would hit it with his paw and it flew around the house, so loud as it hit things. Even going down a flight of stairs did not release any treats. He was so frustrated.
Bought one for my dogs they loved it so much bought 2 more so they all had their own. I never took it apart just drop food/treats in shake it a little and it’s awesome ! Pups live them!
My dog was super excited about this toy but she somehow instead of getting the treats to fall through she managed to open the whole toy. I think it needs to hold together better because it’s too easy to open.
The toy was super-difficult to open and get treats inside at first. Once done, my dog enjoyed it for a few hours, occasionally managing to get 1/4 of the shell off to get at the treats. Then I needed to start supper and left her alone. Shortly after I heard unusual noises, and found she had taken the whole toy apart and was chewing on part of the outer shell.
It’s hard plastic and my lab had a hard time carrying it around. It will be nice for a smaller dog to chase it around on the floor. Also the directions for choosing sized holes is weak
