I ordered several movement toys for my kitty to try and satisfy his hunting instinct and decrease his boredom during winter. He loves hunting outdoors and will frequently bring us his captures, which includes a lot of mice. :( This toy is his favorite out of everything and he plays with it everyday. Sometimes I take it in another room and activate the squeak and he comes stalking in, ready to find and attack. He will sometimes chase a laser pointer, hex bug or his ribbon toy, but this is the best one.
My one cat was absolutely obsessed with this toy, and loved it to death. She would play "fetch" with it, bringing it to me to throw to the top of the wall-mounted platforms and 4-foot tall sisal post, batting it back down to me, and racing up to catch it as I threw it again. Somehow the noise maker was jolted in such a way that it freaked out and wouldn't stop, so I ended up removing that, throwing it away, and sewed the toy back up. The noise it makes is a rather obnoxious high-pitched squeak, but the cats seemed to enjoy it so I put up with it until that point. Unfortunately she "groomed" it until it was threadbare and started leaking stuffing out through the fabric so I had to take it away. I still haven't found a replacement that she likes as much, even the exact. same. toy. :/
HONEST REVIEW: My cat (cookie) loved this toy the literal second I gave it to her she loves that it makes noise and has catnip it in. she has never had a noise toy before but she has had catnip mice before and I think this is her new favorite. 10/10 would recommend. cookie would recommend it too. i would also like to mention she is almost 7 years old now and still loved this toy even though she is older.
A friend told me about these mice, so I bought 2 (I have 2 dogs). One of my dogs flips the mouse in the air and when it lands (and squeaks), she rolls on it. She has learned to pat the mouse with her paw, which makes it squeak. She quickly learned that by batting the mouse with both paws, it squeaks faster! Both mice lasted 2 years before their squeaks wore out. I just bought 2 more mice to replace them.
So, we got this 15 minutes ago. As soon as Max heard the noise, he came running at me, full speed, from across the house, haha. He took a minute to get warmed up to Squeaks before pouncing. He’s currently in his old chewy box that I made into a bed for him, with Squeaks. Honestly the last 15 minutes made it worth the $5. It appears to be made very well. It’s soft. The noise it makes is kinda loud. I’ll definitely be able to hear it if he plays with it in the middle of the night, because we have a 750sq ft house, haha. But that’s okay. He needs to be more active. If the noise stops like others have said, it wouldn’t be an issue. We have mice toys without the noise, and he loves them all the same. 10/10 would recommend.
My cat loves this squeaky mouse so much I needed to buy a couple more! The first one I bought is over 2 months old and is still in great condition after frequent daily and rough play and the tail and ears are still attached.
My husband and I got this mouse for my kitten after her favorite mouse (similar to this but not the same one) broke. We bought this one because it seemed like it would be higher quality and be harder to break. We bought it as a Christmas present for her and today is only January 9 and the noise box has already broke. It’s just sitting in our office continuously screeching at the one of the highest octaves possible. It’s like a harrier jet taking off but it’s also chipmunk. Bright side and only reason I gave it two stars is when I tried to cut it open to take the batteries out to end my suffering, but the material of the mouse was so great that I couldn’t cut it open.
It is pretty realistic looking and sounding; however, my lazy cat couldn't be less interested in it. She liked it better when it first arrived and was still in the cardboard...ugh!
Bought this to hopefully replace an older frog toy that lost its ribbet... it worked! Aileen is 10 years old & when we gave it to her she gave it a poke or two then in the air, across the room & had a blast. We hear this thing at all hours still!
Both of my cats go crazy over this! Every time it's touched it squeaks. They think they really have a live mouse! It's small enough that they actually carry it in their mouth, but too big for them to chew & swallow. I bought a second one for my cats & 3 for each of my son's cats. Awesome toy that they play with endlessly!
