    Efficient and Clean

I love this automatic litter box! So far it cleans exactly as described. I had to change the pick up tray after 4 days. That was so simple. Once there was litter stuck to the bottom of the box and the rake stopped mid scrape just as described in the instructions. I turned it off, turned off the clutch, cleared the weighty clumps, turned of on and voila it resumed raking ... just like described in the easy to follow directions. The sound does not frighten my cat. My only disappointment is that it does not come with a cover. I’m trying to invent one maybe from placing a small table on top. Over all I love to go In And see a clean litter box! Thank you! My life on my farm is a little easier. … more

Breaks within 10 months to 16 months

By Catmomma on Sep 14, 2019

Its advised to use any clay typing litter, I reached out to Chewy and they advised any clumping litter. Even with using Tidy cat light weight litter these still break within 10 months to 16 months. They will rake foward but click as the rake goes up and will retract back flashing the red light. I reached out to Chewy and the replaced 2 of 4 boxes. But because the other 2 broke out of their "year money back guarantee" policy they wont refund me the other 2. The replacements they sent are broke so I have 4 non working litter boxes. And out at least $280 dollars. Please, just buy regular cat boxes and scoop them, because even the crystal litter, doesnt work in them. … more

    I've had better

    By on

This is the 2nd automatic litter box my cat has used. My Litter Maid cat box broke after 6 months. The Pet Zone rake fails to scoop up the urine clumps, I find myself scooping every other day. At least it scoops up the crap! A waste of $85.

    Not the worst

I bought this as an additional unit. This product leaves a large amount of waste in the unit especially near the rake. The rake does not get under the litter enough to pick everything up and urine tends to accumulate underneath the rake and behind it so you have a huge chunk of urine. I still have to clean it out by hand everyday every other day depending on the use. I do like the collection box and it is quiet.

    bad design

    By on

I got this because I am disabled and have a hard time scooping litter , but I'm still scooping litter. It doesn't get the sides very good and the cats can pee behind the rake and it doesn't get that either . I paid a good amount of money for this and I still have to scoop the litter by hand . It falls short when the rake comes to the end of the box also . overall very dissatisfied with this produce and very upset I spent Over $80 on this and I have to go buy another box .

    Needs Longer Rake

    By on

I bought this litterbox for my extremely picky cat. It's my *second* litterbox purchase from Chewy. The first one involved crystalline litter that irritated the cat's feet, and she took it out on my laundry. So I was REALLY hoping this would solve the problem. She's used clay/scooping litter before, so I figured this would address her issue. After ONE weeks' operation, I discovered a design flaw; the rake doesn't scoop along the *bottom* of the pan--it only seems to "skim" the top layer of sand. Which, if you know cats, isn't sufficient--they BURY their waste. As a result, the rake will knock clumps *loose*, but they'll wind up *behind* the rake, rather than scooped INTO it. There's a recess underneath where the waste-receptacle rests at the end of the cycle. Whatever ends up behind the rake, ends up IN that recess. I had a *brick* the width of the unit, of cat waste. Sort of defeats the whole point of the rake, doesn't it?? They need to extend the length of the rake to be able to at least *brush* THROUGH the litter to the bottom of the pan, so waste doesn't end up behind the rake. Otherwise, operationally, it seems fine. Cat's still taking out her angst on my laundry, so I don't know WHAT to do now. I just know I can't keep spending hundreds of dollars on these stupid litterboxes... … more

    Short lived

    By on

This product was great for about 6 months before the issues started. First the rake would throw out the feces and urine clumps out the side. Then it began getting caught on the box itself. Then popping off the guard. Now it just simply gets caught on the plastic litter box itself, even empty.

PetZone Smart Scoop Auto Cat Litter Box

    By on

Product does not automatically scoop. It may be a defective unit. It is supposed to automatically scoop fifteen minutes after it senses movement but it does not. The light always blinks red, as it not ready. The only was to get it to scoop is to unplug the unit and re-plug it in.
