I got this more for a once weekly maintenance or times of stomach upset, so I'm not sure how well or if it does really work yet but my GSD seems to really love the taste. Decided to try this in place of a product the vet suggested that also had FOS in it.
Been using this for my boys since they were puppies. Good price. Highly recommend!
Someone commented negatively about the sugars (Dextrose and Maltodextrins) in this product. Those are the Fructooligosaccharides (FOS) in the product and feed the bacteria (the probiotics) to help them get established in the gut. Just wanted to clarify that they are a critical part of the product and are not a bad thing.
I bought this on all the great reviews but when I read the ingredients I realized it’s mostly sugar. I tasted it and sure enough…sugar. Beware. Not sure why the ingredients aren’t listed on the site.
My GSD has a sensitive stomach and cannot tolerate beef without getting bouts of diarrhea. I started her on Bene-Bac Plus, mixing it with her moistened kibble and it clears her right up. The dogs don't notice the taste, and it has a sweet smell. I also use it on my son's German Shepherd dog with excellent effect. It is good to use when the dogs are on antibiotics or after food indiscretions. It also boosts the immune system. With 3 dogs, and 2 cats, this product has lasted a long time. Great price, great effect.
My puppy has a very sensitive gut...I think this is working but if she gets anything in her mouth or I give her anything different she goes back to loose stool...as long as I keep giving her this powder it seems to get back to normal..We were using a Purina product and that worked a little but then it stopped being affective..this so far seems good! Fingers Crossed!! This was recommended by our breeder and not by our Vet
This is a great product to get probiotics into your young animals for digestive support. I use it with my foster kittens and it seems to work well and is easy to use.
Wish they continues smaller size. The smaller one could have punched holes so you can use it as a shaker. This one's hard to handle with the size. I've lost some due to dropping it. Bring back the smaller size PLEASE.
Bought this product because the paste was out of stock. Did not use the recommended dosage thank God. Used a pinch on their dinner and all three dogs got diarrhea. Very disappointed...I've used it before when it was available in a smaller jar. Will not buy again.
I have been mixing this with my GSD’s food because she is having diarrhea post-whelping. Im not sure if it is helping but it’s not a cure. I honestly think pumpkin works better.
